Yes, Carson Palmer not completing an easy pass is baffling. The play-action was perfect because the Cowboys were over-playing run. So, a run play, even if somehow "fundamental", was not a sure thing either.

Stanton threw a pick down there on a checkdown also. So a couple of throws these guys probably complete 9 times out of 10 happen in the redzone. Yes that is baffling.
