Diaw is a badass when Amare isn't around. That isn't surprising.

Come on, Diaw is a fat lazy doofus who will soon disappear, Bell is washed up and J-Rich is an elite guard, a true all-star. Omg, Kerr owned Larry Brown, lololololol.

And for the record, the Bobcats did not owned the Lakers, but played a hardly contested game despite the fact that Wallace got hurt and Augustin is still injured. I wouldn't bet that the current Suns team could do that.

I watched the game on NBA TV, and my respect for Larry Browns coaching abilities just went up to a higher level. The bobcats managed to close out the lakers at their place without DJ agustin or gerald wallace who received a real nasty cheap shot elbow from bynum, IMO a flagrant 2. They are playing very crisp and smart basketball, 31 assists as a team. Diaw didnt shoot well for the game(8-24, 23pts), and missed some foul shots, but otherwise he was key to the victory. His defense on Gasol and Odom was outstanding, and he hit 4 clutch shots in the 4th and 2 OT's. this was the diaw of the mavs playoff series. Larry Brown didnt take very long to learn how to use Diaw, perhaps its the pairing with okafor? I think Larry Browns teams play better help defense than others I've seen recently, and on offense they share the ball. IMO, Diaw will excell in the future if he is involved in a share the ball offense. The bobcats have beaten the suns, celtics, cavs, and lakers this year. It looks like the suns trash was the bobcats treasure as Diaw seems to make the team go, everyone gets better shots when he is on the floor.

Own? Hardly.

Oh no, he's right. They do.

For whatever reason, the Bobcats bring hell with them every time they face the Lakers, and it's usually a wild, tight game (I think they had another double OT game with them last season).

Yeah, Diaw defends the PF at an 11.5 PER among the very best int he NBA. Why would the suns need a guy like that?

When the hell will people realize that Diaw was WORTHLESS on this Suns team? We all know he has the talent and ability, but he has done jack for the past 2 years. Diaw is the prototypical stat-stuffer on a bad to average team. He will never be a star on a top NBA team. (Or a team with legitimate talent around him.)

I think people are insuating that getting a PF who passes and plays defense would fit in better with this team then Amare. The way Diaw is playing as a starter is turning heads. He played that well for us as a starter.

Diaw might be one of those guys that needs to start to be effective. I am not convinced he keeps this up the rest of the season but man if he does people are going to second guess not shipping out Amare and keeping Diaw for some time to come.

We were fools to give up Diaw and Bell. That is blatantly obvious now to anyone who opens their eyes.

Bell was no loss. JRich is playing just as well on the defensive end. His defense on Joe the other night was fantastic. Also, despite not finding his grove yet with this team is still gong to score more when all is said and done. In fact, I am impressed with his ability to score without plays being called for him. He brings some of what we lost when Shawn was traded.

As stated above, if Diaw keeps this up people will wish Amare was sent away versus Diaw.

I can't believe some people are still blaming Diaw's poor performance with the Suns on Porter's system. Who was the coach the two years before that? Was that not a "share the ball" offense?

I said at least a year ago that Diaw needs to be challenged to play well. He has so much talent that he gets bored unless the circumstances really have his attention. He was motivated in his contract year, and now he's motivated playing for a hardass coach. We all know that the first flurry of motivation didn't last. Will the second? I wouldn't bet on it.

How can losing by far our best 3PT shooter not be a loss?

And you should have seen the defense Bell was playing on Kobe yesterday. I don't believe for a second that Bell is not still a great defender and can't guard Kobe better than most.

Diaw doesn't need to motivated. He needs touches... and a lot of them to be successful. Problem is, as good as Diaw is, I don't think he's elite enough to carry a true contender.

Honestly, what poor performance? With us this season, per 48 minutes, he scored 16.3 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and made 57% of his shots. Sounds damn good to me.

Jesus some of you guys are so damn annoying.

One second you hate the guy and want him gone, then we trade him for a allstar guard in a robbery deal. But now that Diaw is finally playing with some heart we should have never made the deal? Are you kidding me?!?

Diaw has been subject to the most bashing here out of anyone on the team and it was for good reason. He played like a soft no heart puss with us. And it angers me even more to see what hes doing with Charlotte cause it proves he just didnt give a damn when he played here.

Atleast when Amare is tanking hes probably doing it cause hes frustrated with the coaching style of Porter. Diaw tanked games cause he just didnt care enough about basketball to give 100% each game.

Trading him and getting him out of his comfort zone was just the wake up call he needed and thats why hes performing again. He would not be doing that here if we never traded him. He'd just be pulling his normal act and defer to teammates and allow them to do all the hardwork.

The point is that the reason he didn't have high numbers here wasn't because he wasn't performing well. It's simply because he didn't play many minutes. He was actually giving us great production in his limited minutes.
