Anquan Boldin faced the media for the first time Thursday since his impromptu meeting with reporters during a quick exit from the NFC Championship Game celebration.

Predictably, the Cardinals receiver said that a sideline argument he had with offensive coordinator Todd Haley was overblown.

"I celebrated and I celebrated with my teammates," he said. "I just tried to avoid this (media mob). The guys in the locker room know what kind of guy I am."

Again, the fight with Haley really isn't the issue... He says he "celebrated" with his teammates... When?? He was gone before even a handful actually got into the locker room!

Secondly - why was he trying to "avoid the media"?? Why, at the moment of his most important win as a pro, would he skip out on his players and family, and try to "avoid the media"??

Doesn't add up... sorry.

Obviously he and the team (coaches included) are trying to put this behind them for the sake of the most important game in the Cardinal's history. It's a shame that others can't.

For all that Q has done for this organization can't you give him a pass on this one?

Ya know... if this was Jeremy Urban, no. I wouldn't care... But I don't appreciate it when a guy I have admired for so long, who is supposed to be a leader on this team... aahhhh.. screw it... :bang:
Q, get us a Super Bowl... And then be gone...

Yea! I give him a pass on this one for sure. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't even be in the playoffs. How do we know that the players didn't go to Q's house after the game to celebrate?? :)

all I want from Q is this:

1. a 100% effort in the Superbowl (which I am really not doubting)

2. a rational consideration of any offer the team makes to him this offseason

I like have everyone has turned on Q for not celebrating with his team after the game. Apperently what he has done on the field doesn't matter to anyone. Like i said before...If it wasn't for him we wouldn't be here. GO CARDS!

So he didn't celebrate to your liking. Why you care about this is beyond me, and frankly... I think the possibility (according to your time line) that he left without showering is greater sin.

If we hadn't scored on that last drive yeah I'd be mad at Q for interrupting Haley about that, but we did score, so it really doesn't matter to me.

Hell Warner and Haley were going at it in the first quarter, and reports are that one of the reasons Haley is getting so much interest from other teams is they were so impressed with how he handled those situations by not backing down, while still doing his job.

I have no reason to doubt Q when he says he celebrated with his teammates, and again I'd rather have a player who's pissed off because he's not in a game in crunch time than one who's doesn't want to be in for crunch time.

I'm going to say that if he's healed then he only owes this team and his teamates his all in the SB.

I expect that absent some evil force of biblical magnitude he'll give that then whatever happens happens and I could care less.

Too bad its a 16 game season and not a 6. Even the buffalo bills started 5-0, and look how they ended up.

Not to mention the attitude he brought with him when he arrived. The team started to turn the corner the day Q stepped on the field.

It's one thing to get in an impassioned argument with a coach the way Warner and Haley do...but it's a totally different thing to call a coach a f'n a-----or whatever name Q called Haley.

Sorry but that kind of stuff doesn't happen all the time in the NFL. The arguing, yes. The name calling, no.

Glad to hear that Whiz met with Q on Monday and the assumption is that Whiz drew the line in the sand for Q. He better have.
