Great news, per Whis. Did he apologize to him for continuing to play him downfield when we had no chance in hell? I hope Mangina also apologized for running up the score on us, which probably played into how hard we were trying at the end.

Poor freaking Boldin. That was wicked. Keep the updates coming.

running up the score on us? we kept scoring. i'd keep scoring if i were the jets as well.

glad to hear that the news on boldin seems positive. thoughts and energy with you Q

You just keep getting funnier and funnier. How many of the 32 NFL teams are "NFL Quality" in your eyes?

Just looking for some advice here.

You are right cardsfanmd. its an absolutely brilliant decision to put your entire season on the line for 30 worthless seconds. Absolutely. A genius move by Whiz.

Ouch, the Jets going for two was stupid, useless and rubbing it in.

first, it put them up 21. that's three full TDs.

second, if the cards are not going to stop the jets, i have no problem with them scoring. it's OUR job to stop them, not their job to stop themselves.

So we should have kept scoring against Dolphins instead of kneeling???

You make no sense.

They just said on NFL Network that ANquan "wanted to pop up but was told not to by the doctors on the field."

So they seem to think he's going to be ok. They also said to expect a sizable fine for Eric Smith for the hit.

Tom Waddle said he got hit like that in 94 and had 20+ stitches to his chin, tore his MCL and chipped a bone in his hip, said he's amazed more guys don't get hurt the way guys lead with their helmet.

Cardinals writer Kent Somers said preliminary X-rays revealed nothing and he was moving his extremeties. But the All-Pro wideout was still being evaluated and was being taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
“He's alert,” Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “He's talking and moving all his extremities. He asked to get up and the doctors won't let him.”

With less than two minutes to go. With us having no timeouts.

5 or 6 minutes? That's football smart. Mangini was football asshattery there.

But yes, our Defense should have stopped them on two of those 4th and one plays, instead of allowing them to bomb it downfield for TDs. That's all on the D.

A few points

1. I'd like to hear something official but the news is hopeful.

2. I had no problem with Wiz trying to keep what was otherwise a blow-out down to a respectable roar.

3. Besides, the way both teams were running up and down the field to score with ease leads me to believe that Wiz and the Cardinals truly felt they had a remote chance to pull it out (or at least break a combined scoring record). An onside kick here; an unlikely turnover there...

4. Yes, I did think Smith's helmet to helmet hit from the front was a cheap shot.

5. We won't know why Kurt and Wiz decided not to take a knee after Q's injury until we hear the post game interviews; but I'd be willing to bet that they wanted to honor Q (and his intense competitiveness) by going out there and continuing to play the game as Q would have wanted it to be played.

6. Life is more important than football.

Yeah, I think you are 100% right on that.

anyone else notice that the defender that hit q also crumpled to the ground seemingly out after the hit?
