anyone else notice that the defender that hit q also crumpled to the ground seemingly out after the hit?

Waddle on NFL Network said Smith was lucky he didn't break his neck on that hit.

Very scary play, that should draw a big fine if not a suspension.

I'm glad Q seems to be alright; the guy defintely didn't deserve that kind of hit after the effort he put into playing through a blowout.

Darren Urban reporting that Bill and Michael Bidwill have stayed behind to be with Boldin. That is classy and a good gesture.

I think the guy in from of Q shouldnt be blamed. The guy who hit Q from behind (on the helmet) knocked Q's head down and the other guy got him right in the mask. Else I think he hits his chest but then I guess it would be a spear right?

Yes. He still lead with his helmet. Illegal no matter what.

“He's alert,” Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “He's talking and moving all his extremities. He asked to get up and the doctors won't let him.”

THANK GOODNESS.

:thewave:

I was wondering what Coach Whiz was yelling about and flailing his arm about while looking over Anquan. Obviously, he was telling Aquan to stay down. I would expect nothing less of Boldin to want, more than anything, to walk off the field. In this case, OF COURSE, I hope he knows it is OK to just be safe than sorry. Nobody is gonna think him less after the hit he took.

I hope he sits out MINIMUM till after the bye. I am very very thankful he is OK, that he moving, talking, and that is seems like he just got KO'd.

Football aside Anquan Boldin is the man. I wish him well with a good recovery, and that everything is OK!

I must say again. THANK GOODNESS.

The official "best news of the week" (well, it is not cool he is banged up but it is great news he is OK)

Story on Cardinals website:
http://www.azcardinals.com/news/detail.php?PRKey=2583

Boldin was strapped to a stretcher – helmet still on – and taken to a Manhattan hospital for further tests. But he was alert and talking in the locker room and had wanted to avoid being carted off until medical staff insisted otherwise.

Thank goodness.

Rest up Q.

You're very articulate ouchie.

I'd like to hear more thoughts from you after our wins.

Ouchie, like me, stays out having a good time after we win. When the Cardinals haven't ruined your Sunday, why come back to a computer when you can enjoy the rest of the day in sunny southern california?

1. I'd like to hear something official but the news is hopeful.

2. I had no problem with Wiz trying to keep what was otherwise a blow-out down to a respectable roar.

3. Besides, the way both teams were running up and down the field to score with ease leads me to believe that Wiz and the Cardinals truly felt they had a remote chance to pull it out (or at least break a combined scoring record). An onside kick here; an unlikely turnover there...

4. Yes, I did think Smith's helmet to helmet hit from the front was a cheap shot.

5. We won't know why Kurt and Wiz decided not to take a knee after Q's injury until we hear the post game interviews; but I'd be willing to bet that they wanted to honor Q (and his intense competitiveness) by going out there and continuing to play the game as Q would have wanted it to be played.

6. Life is more important than football.
