Per USA today article, directly quotes Boldin. Not looking good folks.

Also, per the article and quotes, Kurt seems to be using Boldin's status with the Cards as one of his decision making items to coming back or not. Hmm... whispers of 1999 anyone? This offseason could even be a bigger disaster then '99 was. I sure as hell hope not though.

What I really wanna know is what makes Q tick on this issue.. He has yet to say it.. It just seems like money, thats it.. I always thought Q was bigger than that.. They lied to him? Hey man.. I get lied to everyday at my job and I only get paid 1 tenth of what he does.. Its part of the "business" as they like to say.. Only difference is he has some scum bag agent that wants to take a percentage.. And us, we dont have advatage.. They say they are using their bodies for personal gain.. Well Im being used mentally for their gain.. Why else would I be so crazy to buy tickets to a GAME to take my mind off my job.. And my job mentally will be for 40 years plus, or unless they choose to terminate me with nothing to show for it at a whim.. But youll never see a fomer NFL player standing outside a freeway off ramp with a sign saying will work for food..

he guesses he was supposed to uphold his end of the bargain. I guess that doesn't mean honoring the extension you signed a couple years ago.

"We've been talking to them for two years, and they still haven't made anything happen," Boldin said.

He's been asking for a new contract since the 2nd year of the extension he signed? Thats fairly ridiculous.

Please dont bring logic into this.. Its about absurd as Edge having his Lambo shipped to Tampa for SB week in order to feel at home.. Cuz we all know the common man wants to see a 3.2 YAC RB skirt around town on the biggest day of his life in a Lambo.. Guess we know where his priorities were at.. ANd he wonders why Whis benched his ass..

If all this is true then I'm extremely disappointed in him; he can claim it's all about principle, but really it all comes down to money - wanting to redo a contract after just 2 years is just senseless.

That funny part about him being lied too, is that the Cards did offer him a new deal with more money. He thought is was a joke, so because of that he feels like they lied to him.

The Cardinals offered him a deal before Fitz signed his extension. He passed saying he wanted to see what Fitz got. So he certainly has selective memory on this issue.

Here's my favorite quote from the article:

Fitzgerald then walked in and said, "Q (Boldin's nickname), you'll be back. You wouldn't look good in any other uniform."

I don't know what's going to happen here, but can't you just picture Larry basically saying, "Shut up and see what happens"

Oh, snap!

Q has become just another Rosenhaus diva. Ship him out to the highest bidder, we've already shown that we can win without him.

Let his ass sit for two years then let him find out what his value is. Send a message we cant be having players wanting new contracts 1-2 years into a new contract.

Pretend he is injured. We are 4-1 with him injured.

I am not going to say that it is right to start this kind of talk, but fair is fair. We have guys we need to sign, look grim, and history a great thing to look at with these situations.

What is different this time around ?

1. The Stadium

2. Whiz.

As for the players in question: We all knew Boldin was going to be in the same place at the end of this year, as he was in the beginning of this last season. To be shocked is to be not paying attention.

Edge has said since he got benched that it is time for him to go. Plus I think this is the best move for both sides.

Far from 1999, but then again the offseason started, at most, a day ago.

I hope the Cardinals take the gloves off. I think the team can succeed without Boldin, but we should be as ruthless as possible in getting whatever benefits the team the most in this sitution. I have a Boldin jersey and have always been a big fan, but my fandom only encompasses "Boldin, the Cardinal." As for "Boldin the egomaniac" "Boldin the moneygrubber" "Boldin aka Leon" (from the old beer commericals) I'm just embarrassed for that guy. I don't care what happens to him. Its just one disappointment after another. Its pitiful.

Warner's comments

Nothing Boldin said in this article surprised me. Methinks he has a major problem with being second fiddle.

What did surprise me was the fact that Warner made public comments about where he stood. It sounded like a bit of a veiled threat which is not very characteristic of him. Kurt, please, God can overcome the absence of Boldin, but it may be iffy without Kurt and Q!!!

Kurt wasn't about to throw Q under the bus in the midst of contract negotiations knowing that his words could come back to haunt him if/when Boldin works things out with the FO.

It's easier for one of us to come back on the board and say "I guess I was wrong about so-and-so" after a Mitch style rant about a player, than it would be to face the same guy in the huddle after saying you didn't care whether he was there or not.

His career almost ended in NY this year, and at the end of the day its a business and he needs to get what he deserves. His life could have been extremely different after that one play. I'm not about to whine because he wants to get paid more and believes he was treated unfairly. Who the hell am I to question him? He has given me as a fan more than I could ever ask for. Thanks Q. I still love you.

Q was my favorite Cardinal but if this is how he wants to act fine. I hope the Cards are a little vindictive when they trade him and send him to one of the crappiest teams in the league. Maybe then he will appreciate how good things got here. He will look awesome in a Raiders uniform. As for this 1999 talk please. Even if Dansby, Q, and Warner leave this team will be in contention again next year. It has been an emotional week for fans and players. Players are going to talk crap because they think it will pressure the fan base to put the heat on the FO to pay them their crazy money.

You want out Q? Cool step on up Stevie B.and Doucett. You want out Dansby cool bring in Suggs and sign a MLB or draft one. You want out Warner? Cool let's see what Leinart can do. This is not 1999 and there is talent for other guys to step up and play. Just look at what the Pats do, they don't panic when starters leave they get other guys to step up.

Tempting but more fun would be to simply trade him for a chance to draft Jeremy Maclin and get picks to boot.

Then send Q photos of rookie of the year clippings, returns for TD's, his 40 time and him gaining seperation on DB's.

That should be revenge enough.

I read this:
Boldin told ESPN's Rachel Nichols on Thursday the chances of him staying with Arizona are "very slim."
and immediately thought,
Jim Carrey said:
So you're telling me there's a chance :)

I dont care either way anymore. The players obviously dont lose any sleep over this stuff so I'm not going to either. Q and Warner can both leave if they want. Then Matty will be the QB and we we'll have two extra first day picks and enough money to resign Dansby and bring in Suggs. This is a win-win for us IMO.

How would you guys feel about a team next year that was minus Kurt and Boldin, but got Dansby and Suggs as our big FAs and got Brandon Pettigrew (TE), Clint Sintim (OLB), DJ Moore (DB), Andre Caldwell (C), Javon Ringer (RB) and Lawrence Sidbury (OLB) in the first four rounds of the draft? I would call it the best offseason in Arizona Cardinal history.
