Speaking of burritos and Arizona, does anyone still call them burros there? Growing up, they were even listed as "burros" on the menus of local Mexican restaurants (all of them, as far as I know). I first ate at an El Torito near Angels Stadium in 83 and they thought I was from another planet when I ordered a Burro Enchilada Style. It took me 10 years of being mocked to consistently remember to order it as a Wet Burrito.

They were called burros when I was growing up in Arizona. I don't know what happened.

Someone must have liked the word burrito better or thought it would get confused with a donkey. :D

I love shredded red chili burros enchilada style. They are awesome. Green chili burros might be just as good or better but they are inconsistently made in restaurants so I avoid them.

Isn't a burro just larger than a burrito?

In a dictionary, yes but in a restaurant? Not that I know of. As I said, they were always called burros in Arizona and they call them burritos in California.

I live a few miles from a burro preserve in Reche Canyon and I don't want any of the locals to accuse me of eating those cute traffic stoppers.

With Booker being out for awhile this may put more value on Troy Daniels who I thought might be a trade piece. Of course the Suns have Davon Reed at SG and perhaps Mikal Bridges as well.

Back to burros. Looking at some online dictionaries, I couldn't find an alternative definition that referred to the food. It makes me wonder how this is possible.

Thank heavens they didn't hire that creepy Brown Hand Center guy the DBs used to advertise. Yeah, I know he's dead. But his Stepford family might have tried to do it on the cheap for skinflint Sarvey with a box cutter and an awl.

Confirmed: Booker is the next Kobe. Not debatable.

I do give Sidery some credit for trying to come up with a new angle. Competing with the big fish is not easy.

Caught some Burns and Gambo today. Supposedly Suns said 8 weeks in official statement at 3 PM AZ time. Conjecture is he will miss start of season.

Menus at various Mexican restaurants around the Valley and State still list "enchilada style" as an extra under the shredded beef burros I order.

I'm sure they do. As I mentioned, it's Enchilada Style Burro in Arizona but it's a Wet Burrito in California. I don't know about the rest of the nation for "Wet" but I'm pretty sure Burro is only (or nearly only) in Arizona.

Yeah, I've noticed that... I prefer the Arizona way. Something about "wet" doesn't appeal to me when it comes to food.

I agree. This is why it is discouraging.

Maybe it's semantics, but the surgery is what is discouraging. That he is swelling because of an injury is like... having green snot with a flu, it's to be expected.

Burro means "donkey." Burrito means "Little Donkey." So yes. :)

That's right. In looking for that definition online, this is as close as I could come, inferring that burrito is the diminutive form of burro.

Not one site, though, had an individual definition as burro (as a large burrito) by itself, but menus at restaurants do. Strange!

Even Google defines burro as burrito.

Either way, my mouth is now watering for my favorite Mexican dish, shredded beef burro enchilada style, double rice, no beans. (Gas reduction.) :)

I agree, enchilada style tells the whole story and it also sounds appetizing. Wet makes it sound like an apology for having dropped it into the sink or something.

Wet is good in both burritos and shooting a basketball.

Jeez, how many metacarpophalangeal joints does a guy need? In my day we had only two, and they were both uphill. Damn entitled millennials.
I think we have 10. One in each digit. 5th identifies it as the pinky joint. So, in layman's terms, he had surgery on the knuckle joint of the pinky finger of his right hand.

This guy needs to wise up. I know it's not a mess now BUT:

scuffle involving Ulis, I know he didn't do anything but remember its about character and who you're hanging with and what you're all involved in. Criminals and drugs users are in the situation they're in because of choices.

Again...linked to Kardashian. It's about who you're fraternizing with. And they're about a specific lifestyle, going out, being in the public eye, partying dancing etc.

And now the hand...how the heck does it start swelling up a year later? And as posted, its usually when someone punches something.

This may seem over the top but there are some small red flags that are coming up. He needs to start making better choices.

It doesn't "seem" over-the-top. It "is" over-the-top.

Chill out. You act like he's Lamar Odom.

He originally injured his hand during the season last year. There is no evidence at all that he injured it by punching something, or someone. From everything that's been reported about this surgery it seems he thought he was in the clear with his hand injury but then somehow aggravated it again. He has been playing a lot of basketball this offseason. He was part of Team USA's minicamp and another big minicamp with a number of other NBA players, including Durant, PG13, Ariza, Warren, and Westbrook. Those are the sort of guys I'm glad he's hanging out with and learning along side of. Everything else is simply speculation.

Outside of the initial report he was dating a Kardashian I haven't heard another word about that either. I could be wrong and they're still together but it seems that blew over rather quickly. Even if he is still dating one of them, until they prove to be a negative influence we shouldn't come down so hard on him for being a 21 year old famous athlete and millionaire.
