Widow Jane 10 year is really good. Can’t bring myself to water down bourbon with ice yet.I had some Widow Jane over 4 cubes last night.
Smoke Wagon is good stuff.Broke open the Smoke Wagon Small Batch. I like it. First pour on ice next will be neat. You must be registered for see images attach
is that the green label? My wife just landed an allocated bottle of Weller Full Proof from Total Wine. One of those hard to get bottles. First one in her collection.
Makers seems a bit too syrupy to me, but it’s not too bad.I'm in El Paso, Texas and I just bought some makers mark. Never had it before.

Doing this!
the drops of water open up the aromas and kind of give it some air.Okay, serious question.
When I went to the tasting they had droppers of water, apparently to add a drop or two and that somehow magically changes things or something.
Here's my question: When, if ever, is it appropriate to use ice?
that’s one of the better wheated bourbons I’ve tried. You must be registered for see images attachThe guy at total Wine sold me on this said it is an excellent sipper… price point was $45.00 but I had a 10% off coupon cracking it now
Too lazy to look. What is the price point? My neighbor came over with this the other day and I got to say it’s fantastic… It’s the highest price point bourbon I’ve ever had and I freaking loved it but I would never buy it myself. Can’t justify the price tag.You must be registered for see images attach

Maybe do what us Vodka drinkers do, put it in the freezer? Actually, I need to start a tequila thread.the drops of water open up the aromas and kind of give it some air.
As for ice, I personally don’t use it because I don’t want my bourbon watered down. But that’s the beauty of bourbon, there’s room for every taste and preference. You do you.

Funny, I came back to this thread for the sole purpose of saying I scored a bottle of Stagg A23, which is near impossible to find up here. It’s good but it’s like drinking a flamethrower before getting to taste it. 130 proof! He also let me try some Blanton, which I’ve never had and Stagg…. My favorite was easily the Blood Oath then Blantons and lastly Stagg….. good neighbor! Lol
I made way too many grilled chicken thighs and called him and asked him if he’d like some…. He said “hell yea bro” an hour later, he was over with all these bourbons letting me try. We sat and sipped the blood oath. He gave me two 3 finger pours. As well as a pour of the other 2. SCORE!Too lazy to look. What is the price point?
I don’t know which one he gave me. He brought it over in a mini bottle that he funneled into. But I wasn’t complaining either way.Funny, I came back to this thread for the sole purpose of saying I scored a bottle of Stagg A23, which is near impossible to find up here. Wow, I need to learn to make better friends. You probably spend $20 max on some chicken thighs and he gave you $100s in liquor.I made way too many grilled chicken thighs and called him and asked him if he’d like some…. That whole marriage/divorce and kids thing put a wrench in my expensive whiskey drinking plans… lolWow, I need to learn to make better friends. I wonder if that is cheaper or more expensive than the whole marriage, staying together, buying a big house in Colorado plan. This guy is a single no kids never been married E7 in the Air Force.
