Per RealGM.

He's probably looking for the full MLE, but he could be someone for the Suns to look at, depending on what roster moves they make. He's 31 but has had injury issues the last two years.

I can't see the Suns going this direction. Can you? They already consider themselves too small in the backcourt.

What's most interesting about this news is it gives Milwaukee even more space under the cap this summer. I forsee a ridiculous contract offer to Chauncey Billups in their future, ala Ben Wallace with Chicago.

Boykins makes Eddie House seem unselfish.

His ideal spot would be as a bench scorer for a team with a poorly-coached offense and/or a number of offense-challenged role players. IMO his agent is targeting the Cleveland Cavaliers...

They do? I thought they just considered themselves undermanned.

That too.

Boykins would be great off the bench, but as a long range move they seem to be looking at mostly big combo guards in the draft.

Actually, I'd rather have Marcus Banks off the bench than Boykins, even after last year.

One reason (not the total reason) that Denver traded Boykins was because he really is a ball hog. Players on the Denver team were upset with him.

I have liked Earl Boykins since he was at Golden State. I tend to look at what a player can do first before I look at his deficiencies. I know Boykins weaknesses however he can be a flat out play with a run and gun team like the Suns and he can hit an open shot. He would energize the Suns second unit as a backup PG... at least until the Suns groom an heir apparent for Nash. I'd take him any day of the week ahead of Banks because he can play now and rest Nash. He's not the permanent answer at PG but he is certainly a pesky underrated player. I wish the Suns could afford him. I've always thought he was a Suns type player.
