Band has one more year on his contract for 18 million
76rs talking about amnesty but they would still have to pay 18 million which is a lot of money
We can take the salary for one year and then the contract is gone and the space and money is available for 2013

I'd love this trade. Not sure if Philly would do it though, they still Ned to massively upgrade their talent to be real contenders and the #15 might be too appealing for them to give up. I imagine new they'd try to get the Suns to accept a future pick with some protections on it.

Philly needs a legit center to become even better. Can't see how'd they let go of one of their bigs.

From a business perspective it does not make sense. Pay $18 million for a #15 pick. Naw. Its just not worth it unless Brand himself meets a need.

Now if they take back Childress or Warrick (or both) thats another matter.

The idea is intriguing but the Suns might be able do better depending what teams still what to unload salary.

I like the concept better than the Suns overspending on marginal players.
