One thing no one has mentioned ...

In their last conversation, Jesse told Walt, "Saul told me what you did." Walt replied, "It had to be done," and Jesse said, "I know."

So was Jesse referring to Mike or the prison killings? If he was referring to Mike, did Walt understand that? Jesse referring to Mike would explain why Jesse got his gun before answering the door, and why he was so relieved it was money in the bag and not a bomb or Mike's head or something. Jesse is clearly terrified of Walt, which was not the case when Jesse went to see Walt at the shop.

Walt thinks everything is good between him and Jesse now. He's at peace with that relationship. Jesse is definitely not. This has to come into play now. Jesse is finally learning how to play the game and stay one step ahead of Walt.

i think it was the prison killings. i don't think walt woul have told anyone what he did to mike.

That sure seemed like a lot of money for a three-months worth of cooking.

Remember in season 3 when Jesse calculated how much Gus was going to make over a year off their work at the super lab? Cant remember the exact number but I feel like it was in the neighborhood 50 million. Then you add in the new European flow...

Just want to mention this is one awesome show.

I just started it on Netflix and am crusing through the episodes I had wanted to watch this show this way and I intended to let it run to conclusion then warp through it all on Netflix I love doing this with certain shows but couldn't wait, once I'm caught up it'll suck having ot wait for new episodes but this is truly an amazing show.

The writing is good but honestly the one gripe I have is that it has a few logical holes in it, the interaction of the characters and how they get out of stuff isn't that realistic, it's a minor gripe but it's just not logically consistent in certain ways.

It's one of the best attempts at that I've ever seen minus the Sopranos which was still the best I'd ever seen at that, that one was beyond awesome at being logically consistent, fine writing, this one is close but it's just not what it could be because several times things just are too convenient and a shade too simplistic or overdone as the case may be.

That is my take on the show. And after a while I just lost interest.

You are beyond dumb! :mulli:

BEST! SHOW! EVER!
I had a guy with a "meth history" tell me that this show gives dumb people bad ideas on how to get rich quick.

He was serious.

I think the show is fine, but I lost interest.

Ok I get that he's dying and that gives him a different take on most of this but getting hooked up with this and going that high on the food chain is beyond mental in the first place, there's no way. A family guy couldn't do this no matter what anyway, the first time you goofed up they'd kill your whole family or threaten to.

It's kinda like Batman like that, they never just shoot him they always have to put him in danger but danger he has a chance to get out of, it wouldn't work that way. More likely they'd torture his family until he taught someone to prepare a batch then off everyone.

I still love the show but it's a lot to get past is all I'm saying, much more fun to go several episodes at a time instead of waiting a week or worse between.

It's a show about an alleged good man doing the unthinkable -- morally, culturally, etc. Of course it's going to have elements that stretch reality. But you wouldn't go to a Greek play and complain, "There's no such thing as gods."

The show isn't about a chemistry teacher becoming a meth kingpin. That's just the palate to paint a picture of what a good man going bad looks like. Like most quality dramas, it does what it can to suspend your disbelief so they can tell a morality play focused on the abstract. It's why the show is set in Albuquerque and not New York City, and uses every square inch of mundane suburban life to bring home some kind of familiarity.

I get all that it was just an observation.

One reason I loved the Soprano's so much was the plot made a lot more sense, there were very few plausibility holes in the logic of it.

After watching 5 or 6 more shows I think it calmed down a lot.

Hey, first time in this thread.

I love BB.

I was a late comer to the series. Didnt watch it till the first 2 seasons were on Netflix. Been hooked since.

Ima rant on the current state of the current (final) season:

I feel like this ending is very forced. Its clear this will end badly for Walter. And to accomplish that, the creators are introducing all these new characters and lose threads.

Its like weve been grinding along this whole time, building a well developed plot thats complex, and all the charatcers are interconnected. Very slow, methodical, build. And now we are at the end...speedspeedspeed, quickly introduce all these new people, new lose threads, new problems, ahhh!

It feels cheap. like a cop-out.

If someone were to foil Walter. I want it to be someone whos been around since day 1. I want a plot element which we've seen coming since the beginning come to fruition.

Not the introduction of some nobody, unstable woman, and 5 minutes later shes the cause of his downfall.
----------

I forget his name, Walters new assistant (of course, introduced this season for the first time). Its so un-walter-like to associate himself with such a moron. Its another example of the creators trying to force new down-fall elements down our throats. Prior to this season. Walter would never. Ever associate himself with such an unstable character. I hate it.

That woman. New character whos unstable and creates all sorts of new problems #2. The best thing that couldve happened with this character would have been Mike killing her.
-----Which brings me to basically the overall premise of this season. We are supposed to be at the end, right? Yet here we are with Walter and this woman trying to build an international empire. That feels like something that shouldve started 3 seasons ago. Obviously its the crux for the end of this season downfall. I just hate how rushed it felt.

The new distributors. You know the guys in the desert with the 5 mill. More loose ends.

----------------

To sum up. We just spent 3 seasons watching Walter sew up loose ends. At the end of season 3, we really had no major loose ends. He was buttoned up very well. There was Jesse GF and Walter poisoning the kid. And the lawyers knowlege of this. Thats perfect. Why mess with it? We could make a final season based on stuff like that.

Boom season 4, new people, new plots, new, new, new. Ugh.

The rule of thumb in all stories: You Dont Introduce a bunch of new characters and plot elements in at the end.

Very disppointed with the upcoming ending. All this new crap was not necessary. There was enough with Mike and Hank and Skyler to bring about the down fall. They totally ruined it with all this new noise.

Of course, which makes it even more maddening.

Why introduce all this new noise, when there was no need?

Like I said, there was enough there with Skyler, the lawyer, Hank, Maria, Walt Jr, Jesse, his GF, etc to lead to Walts downfall. There was no reason to bring in all these new characters.

Starting season 4. Like it! :)

Cranston had a great point about Skyler. Think of all Walter put her through before saying how annoying she is. :)

Naww, even as far as obnoxious women go, shes really obnoxious.

I wish Walt goes Godfather mode on her.

It wont happen. Walts on his way to jail or death and Skyler will be clean.
