Was anyone else holding there breath worried that he was gonna do his standard run 7 yards backward and get the safety?

Fielding that punt on the 1 was one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time.

You learn in high school, heels on the 10 yard line and you do not back up to catch the punt.

High school. This is the pro game, and a 1000 yard receiver that can't figure this out, and I know the coaching staff has been in his ear about this. Unbelievable. That's 19 yards in field position and a safety thanks to Stevie B.

Breaston has made some questionable decisions on special teams this season and that was the dumbest one ever.

He's not the same player as last year. Either as a WR or retuner.

It must be his way of saying, "I don't want to return punts or kickoffs."

Yup! I'm not sure what's happened to the Steve Breaston from last season. It's like his evil twin has taken over this season.

I wish I knew what was going on with this guy. I sure am tired of seeing him run short routes, like he did for 4 or 5 games in a row earlier in the season, or make poor return decisions, (running backward or sideways, or catching on the one yard line). These are beyond poor decisions. I caught a look at him on the bench late in the game, and he was just staring off into nowhere. It was like he wasn't even there. Usually a guy that is trying to make a statement to the coaches that he doesn't want to perform a certain function, is seen ranting and raving up and down the sideline when not on the field. This guy was just sitting there staring off into space. No one talking to him, and him not talking to anyone, It was like he was somewhere else.

I look to see Doucet make a bigger impact in the playoffs than Breaston.

What happened to this guy?

Hmmm...how about making Doucet the 3rd wide receiver and see if that lights a fire in him?

He's not the same player as his first year as a returner. That was the only year he had decent returns including a punt returned for a TD. He was pretty average as a punt returner even last year.

I don't think as a receiver there is an issue. He had some pretty nifty catches including that Fitz like TD catch. It is just that we have been running a lot of 2TE sets lately so there are fewer opportunities for Breaston.

Was it not Breaston who was behind the defender wide open when Matt overthrew him by ten yards? That was a touchdown sure fire. Breaston is a starter at WR for half the teams in the NFL.

GB was playing zone for nearly all the game which made most of our throws short. What really has to have had the receivers hurting was all those short throws to the outside about 3-5 yds. The arrived at about the same time as the defender causing some of the receivers to take the hardest hits I have seen all season and on a consistent basis. These hitters were coming in head first full speed so as to do maximum damage. I might just let those babies fly on by as we are fortunate there were not more injuries. Where that was dumb play calling on it is on Matt I do not know. Any case it sure reeked havoc on the receivers who stood in and took the punishment although you could see they were walking very slowly after these hits by guys like Hawk.

Um, no. Breaston slowed down on the route. Maybe the TV didn't show it. The play happened right in front of me and I cursed him for not running out his route. Breaston is at fault here.

This was one of the few throws that was actually on the money for Matt today.
