Matt Leinart just sucked plain and simple overhyped USC product who never really had a head for the NFL game. Which was proven by his lack of success post Whiz as well...

In his defense...was a different player after the broken clavicle.

Just wondering if you could tell me what other quarterbacks Whiz has ruined?

1. Made Kurt Warner decide to retire
2. Made Jake Locker decide to retire
3. emasculated Leinart
4. The entire carousel of QB's he failed to develop or game plan around after KW

I am more of the opinion that this proves he is a crap talent evaluator because none of those guys, except Warner, had any business leading an NFL huddle.

Whiz was definitely a poor talent evaluator. His draft classes were mediocre at best. He will be gone after another losing season in Tennessee.

My point is that Mariota will need to be developed, and he is not exactly the most Type-A guy who will handle Whiz's tough love approach. He would have to do a lot of work to play in Whiz's "System." The combo would be a disaster. He needs to go somewhere that a team can sit him while he learns or will use his strengths and build their offense around his strengths. We all know damn well that Whiz has never done that, and shouldn't expect him to change.

Total bunk…

Kurt Warner decided to retire due to concussion(wife pressure) =… Has said on many occasions has a great relationship with Whiz.

Locker sucked and was oft injured and had no more passion for the game.. Proof that Whiz made him retire?

Leinart blew didn't need Whiz for that…. And none of those other QBs had any business in an NFL huddle… He didn't ruin anything in that regard.. Recognizing and finding legitimate NFL starter we can question all day long… But saying he destroyed anyone is pure horse manure,

I was baited into making a weak argument, I admit my opinion relies heavily on the interview where Kurt talked about how he was expected to do most of the game planning and how that played into his retirement decision.

In any event, I think even if I am wrong on any of that, Whiz is not the guy to develop Mariota and I think with his personality that if he is not well supported and he struggles, it could spell disaster. I just see Whiz doing the normal Whiz things and that would be a disaster for Mariota.

Any of you guys know if Akeem Ayers is worth anything? I know the name but that's about it.

I think the Titans know if he gets to AZ their chances at him are slim to none--Nashville is nice and all but if I doubt it is even close as to who is a better salesman for a team between Whis and Arians. They are likely rolling out all the stops to prevent Arians from even having a chance.

I get chasing the money, I really do, but if this guy has any competitive juice in him than why in the hell would he choose Tenn?

Why go through OTA's, mini-camps, training camp, endure all of the soreness, ice baths etc etc just to go out and lose every freakin sunday?

I don't get it. Yeah it might be a million or two more but don't most athletes want to win?

It even says right on his Twitter page "super bowl driven". Not if your signing with the Titans.

Whiz & their GM are at the Oregon Pro Day scouting and talking to Mariota. The Titans "Cap" guy is in Nashville working on the deal with Orakpo's agent. Its all about the money at the Ttans have lots of it.

So maybe he has Ray Horton talking to him and some assistant GM? All the more reason to not want him to leave the building.

The Titans really are bad and will be for a couple of years at least. Would like to sign Orakpo but his injuries scare me.

If he can't get off the Titans' block and get to the airport, maybe we don't want to sign him.

Ironically, the best player on that list, Greg Hardy, is a guy no one is going to touch with a 10 foot pole. Even teams desperate for a pass rusher, namely ARZ doesn't seem interested as D-Wash & Dwyer have them thinkng twice about bringing in a guy with that type of history.
