Minus off field problems, Greg Hardy is the best pass rusher on the market.

Yes, and other than he will probably get some sort of disciplinary punishment from Goodell I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt since his case was dismissed. I still don't think he's on the Cardinals' radar, though. I do think he could be a great fit, however.

I think it pretty important now that they get Sam Acho re-signed. Maybe that could go after low-cost guys like George Selvie or Da'Quan Bowers. I think both fit Bettchers' defense, and since they are both young it might be worth giving them a shot in training camp.

What ever happened to wanting to win? I don't know about you guys but if I were a player, I'd take a championship over the money any day, especially if the money difference is minimal. I mean, did Orapko even come here for a visit? Probably not. Good luck with 4-12 Brian.

Yup...

And you'll be auctioning your ring on Ebay, like so many others, to pay rent.

FA is about the $$$ that secures life beyond football, and there is next to no way of knowing who'll get a ring from one year to the next.

I don't blame the guy - I'd tell him to take that deal too. Way too much money to lay in front of a guy who can't stay on the field.

Rather than guaranteeing Orakpo $13.5 million, we could re-sign Acho and give Dwight Freeney a 1-year and still have $8 or $9 million left over.

Wow Orakpo, 4 years $32m - $13.5 guaranteed.

D. Morgan, 4 years $30m - $10.5 guaranteed.

That's a lot of money tied up at the OLB position.

That's a lot of scratch. Have to overpay a guy so they are OK with weekly drubbings.

Um, really? I'd be auctioning my ring on eBay because I took $4 million instead of $5 million? Give me $4 million a year for 3 years and I'll be set for life. Not everybody is an idiot with their money like some of these players.

I live in the DC area and it doesn't seem like the fans here will miss him. Just consider it payback for Fat Albert!

These teams can guarantee money, they can't guarantee championships. So players aren't choosing between getting paid or getting a ring, they are choosing between the sure thing of money versus an improved chance of winning it all. I think most of us would take the sure thing.

hes a good player...... when healthy

two pec tears (same side) out of three years (or so IIRC) -- thats tough to commit that kind of money.

I like that it is finally other teams overpaying for guys... and we aren't bringing in the Dexter Jacksons of the world anymore.

keim doesnt trade picks for a veteran player

Then they won't get Adrian Peterson. I get your point, though, but I could see trading for different makers being an option if they think they have a very good shot at the Super Bowl while Carson Palmer can still play.

Burns and Gambo were hypothesizing today that Keim restructured Palmer to create cap space for..... Justin Houston

hell, I'd do that! Pick up a RB in round 2 and we're talking domination on both sides of the ball.

Or....AP.

They'd have to give up TWO firsts for Houston. AND pay him JJ Watt type salary. Not going to happen.

If you're going to spend two 1's for a pass rusher you might as well move up in the draft and get one of the top two in the draft. Gregory or Fowler, possibly Ray. That way you don't kill your salary CAP.
