I simply DO NOT understand this thread!!!
1.
It's not like Green has a reputation of not benching players if they do not perform. If we had a better option, don't you think Green would have used him? There hasn't been an altenative to Swinton this season so why would you get rid of him before a better alternative have been found?
2. I'll agree that Swinton's return style at times looks very weird, but look at the stats! Besides Kasper 3 years ago, Swinton is both THE best punt returner AND THE best KICK returner over the last 3 years. As long as he's an improvement - I don't care if he returns kicks running backwards.

3. Our kick coverage suck. This team surrenders 28.3 yards a kick (Can't find the stat, but pretty sure that it's the worst in the league). Since the coverage and running lanes are terrible on kick-offs - is it possible that it might not be optimal on returns? My point is that the performance of this ST unit does not help Swinton a whole lot. You connot judge our returngame by looking at Swinton alone.
With that said! I would love if we used a 3rd or 4th rounder on a superior ruturn man to challenge Swinton. But until Redmond is back at 100% or a draft pick has shown what he can do on the field I would keep Swinton
