The thread we have been waiting for happens and they got use it to put down Graves again.

Whitey sure don't like seeing a brother running things.

That is it. We all know Graves is doing a great job but we don't like him because he is black.....

Now you're putting words in my mouth....that's not what I said.
The going gripe was the Cards were too cheap to bring Levi in - obviously that's not the case. They paid and paid well.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone here who said that the Cards were too cheap to do what it takes. I think the general consensus was that Graves was too incompetent to do what he'd have to do anyway to get Brown in on time. Turns out that was exactly the case.

No...we finally get Brown signed, some Darksiders express nothing more than joy at the signing, and somebody has to come on this thread and call out the darksiders with a ridiculous post. Yeah, you're going to get a reaction when that happens, I would think

Hey You Guys!

Let's just be happy for one bloomin' evening without going all negative again. We got our guy signed and now he'll be in camp. that should be enough for now.

About time this got done ...

Should have been done a lot earlier ..

How many more games do you think the Cardinals would have won if L Brown had signed 3 days ago? How many more would you predict the Cardinals lost if Brown didn't sign for another 3 days? No one predicts the Cardinals as a Playoff team this year. The timing of this signing won't have much impact on the won/loss record.

I guess neither of you gentlemen noticed the fact that the Cards way overpaid this guy. He should have gotten $18 million guaranteed and the article says he got over $18.5 million. If the Cards would have said they weren't going to raise the anti, he'd still be holding out. So they overpaid, just like some on this board wanted them to do and they are still the bad guys.

Go figure.

I don't think the Cardinals way overpaid for Levi because they got the 6th year they wanted. I don't particularly like the way the Cardinals FO has been run in the past but I give them credit for this. I think the 6th year was the sticking point and the Cardinals got it. Now let's be happy for a day.

So we agree.

If you "way overpay", and yet still can't get the guy in camp on time, you're bad. ;)

Anyway, since I'm hopefully done eating crow, I'll be anxious to hear how he does this weekend, and how quickly he can start to put pressure on Ross for the starting spot.

I am overjoyed that the FO has now accomplished something that 25 other teams in the league did in a more timely manner.

I don't think that is necessarily true. They are all saying it's basicly the same contract thats been on the table for a week.

I've followed the Cards for about 10 years now, and I hate the losing as much as anyone. It amazes me that no matter what is done, everyone always finds something to whine about.

I don't know why you find that amazing considering that no matter what's been done in the last five years, we're always terrible. I'd say that's the reason you see people complaining. The effort off the field (good, bad or inept) has continually led to the same result on the field.

i don't remember seeing anyone actually saying the cards were cheap, i think most of us were arguing that the front office was inept in it's negotiating. those are two very different things.

Looks like three of the tackles in the draft will start this year. Will be interesting to see if Brown, Thomas or Ugoh end up being the best.
