Do you even understand how forums and discussion boards work? I will tell you what. When you shut your lips about any opinion you have about anything....the rest of us will to.

Feel free to do what the rest of us do and that is put someone on ignore or skip the threads you don't want to participate in.

Do you know how a forum works?

Everything I say is my opinion. Do I have to tag all posts with "In my opinion" ?

I usually dont have to since most people understand this dynamic, and yet you seem to take it awfully personally.

Well you had me wondering because evidently you took it personally by telling everyone to:

"feel free to make your choices for your kids. But why are you telling me what choices you are making?"

It's kind of confusing because that's what people do on forums....IMO.

The fact that this is a story makes me hate modern media. Everyone is on the hunt for something that they can turn into click bait. There was nothing inappropriate or wrong with his original phrasing.

Im talking about The Moms and Effeminate Men United that BA is talking about. They can make any choices for their kids. What they cant do is tell others what to do with their kids. Which is exactly what they are doing.

So you are saying that mom's and dads that worry about the safety and health of their kids makes them "Effeminate"? Wow.

Also, I have coached youth sports for years. I have never been approached my a mom or dad for that matter trying to tell others what they should do with their kids. Being aware of CTE is not the same thing as moms telling everyone not to let kids play football.

Seems like a stretch.

They had video of BA saying the FULL quote on ESPN a little bit ago. Filmed at Cards HQ. IMO it sounded reasonable and my take was "Moms think football is bad. We have to educate the Moms."

The ESPN talking heads jumped all over BA and made him sound like he had dissed Moms, apple pie and the flag.

Typical off-season filler. Find something to get upset about and go with it until the next commercial.

And? There are people in office buildings pushing for better keyboards.

Doesn't change the fact both are going to show up to work on Monday regardless to collect the paycheck

As for parents, feel free to make your choices for your kids. But why are you telling me what choices you are making? I don't care. Do you also broadcast to the world what lil Frederick drew in art class?

Football is dangerous for our kids! Nobody asked you. Don't let him play then, but shut your lips while you do it

Who the F do you think you are?!? This is a topic worth discussing. You don't have to read it. I'm not forcing my opinions on you. You need to take a step back and think before you type.

BA needs to walk a tight line with this. IMO the new rules well help make this old news for players coming up. Old players are going to need a lot of help.

I feel ya Ouchie. Telling people basically to shut up is not voicing your opinions. Not worth it.

BA should know better. Even if he has an opinion, you don't insult half your fan base to make it known.

Besides, you don't have to join MEMU* even if you get an application mailed to you. Curse them if you want, but it's bad business.

He was referencing the guy that came on and lost his mind telling people to shut up.

I'm pretty sure having read Crazy's stuff on the politics board that he wholeheartedly agreed with the effeminate comment.

I can't believe the league office hasn't put a stop to this crap.
Acting like concussions aren't a big deal is not helping the cause.

It either takes time to change a culture, or something very drastic to change a culture. A lot of the NFL is still in mindset that was before anyone there even heard the letters "CTE".

All that is really happening is the public is finally getting educated on the issue. Knowledge is never a bad thing. If the NFL fears and denies the truth that is accumulating in front of their face, the game will slowly whither on the vine. If the NFL embraces the knowledge, and uses its massive wealth to address the problem, how can that possibly be bad for the sport?

The kind of guys who sit around and talk about how tough they are all the time (but who are too scared to live without guns)

Bruce Arians already clarified his remarks:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...ent-on-moms-attacking-football-222017612.html

"Just to [be] clear about kids playing football, my point is that moms are often the ones making those decisions in a family," Arians said. "We have to make sure that they're getting the message about everything being done to make the game as safe as possible. They're the ones we have to influence. It's a great game and it's even greater when it's played, coached and taught the right way. Everybody involved with the sport has a responsibility to make that happen."

I'm sure conspiracy theorists out there see Bruce Arians as trying to do damage control. However if you look at both quotes you clearly see what he is trying to say.

Original quote:
"We feel like this is our sport. It's being attacked, and we got to stop it at the grass roots," Arians said on Friday, according to NBC Sports Radio's AM 1060 Phoenix. "It's the best game that's ever been f------ invented, and we got to make sure that moms get the message; because that's who's afraid of our game right now. It's not dads, it's moms."

"Our job is to make sure the game is safe, at all levels," Arians said. "The head really has no business being in the game. There's a lot of different teachers, but when I was taught how to tackle, and block, it was on a two-man sled, and you did it with your shoulder pads. That's still the best way to do it. There's really isn't any place for your face in the game. I would beg all of you to continue to learn more about what they're now calling rugby style tackling. I thought it was f------ football myself."

Clarification:
"Just to [be] clear about kids playing football, my point is that moms are often the ones making those decisions in a family," Arians said. "We have to make sure that they're getting the message about everything being done to make the game as safe as possible. They're the ones we have to influence. It's a great game and it's even greater when it's played, coached and taught the right way. Everybody involved with the sport has a responsibility to make that happen."

Huh? You don't sent out "clarification" messages unless you received feedback that you better do so to clarify your original comment. That's has nothing to do with conspiracy.

You didn't highlight the right parts:

"We feel like this is our sport. It's being attacked, and we got to stop it at the grass roots,"

and in the same breath:

"we got to make sure that moms get the message; because that's who's afraid of our game right now. It's not dads, it's moms."

If he had turned on his filter (which he has lacked as of late) and only made the second comment...there is no thread here. It was damage control or the second comment never would have been made.
