How many games should BA have won with Gabbert and Stanton?

Romeo Crennell went 10-6 with Derek Anderson. #usesomecontext

The Cards were dominated by the Cowboys, Eagles and Rams by week 7 and everyone knew they were done. The pressure was off and they took advantage of some bad QB’s late in the season. But let’s keep bringing up 8-8 every time Wilks looks incompetent.

Any way we can throw a **** load of money at Arians to bring him back and save this organization? It's clear to everyone who has a set of eyes that this coaching staff sucks.
BASK are as much to blame in this as anyone. They did nothing to build a future for this team. EVERY one of their 1st round picks suck. EVERY one. No one outside of Cleveland has that kind of track record.

BA was stubborn as a mule and did some idiotic things, but this was an 8-8 team last year with a backup quarterback and largely the same personnel other than that.

This is nearly all on the coaching and trying to jam these players into bad schemes that they don't fit in to.
It was with Blaine Gabbert, no starting left side of the OL, no David Johnson, no Kirk, and they still managed to put some points on the board.

McCoy has all the weapons and look at this mess.

EDIT: People were literally like “we’re actually better at HC now with Wilks than with that chump BA.” BA was one of the best game-day coaches in NFL history.
As one of the people ready for a change from BA I don’t ever recall seeing anyone say that. I had no idea what we had with wills and had completely reserved judgment.

But as cheese said, the choice wasn’t BA or something terrible. We all hoped for an upgrade. I mean BA was very good but had his own shortcomings. He wasn’t Lombardi or belicheck for God’s sake.

He's Lombardi compared to this staff.

I hate to say it, but BA caused his own issues by having Bettcher and Goodwin as heir apparent in his mind. Continuity of staffing would have been the ideal, but like a lot of our roster, we suck at coaching development as well.
I wish we hired Bettcher at this point

What has become clear to nearly all:

Steve Wilks is a good guy, a solid citizen and likely a very good defensive coordinator who is in wayyyyyyy over his head as a head coach.

these things happen in the NFL. The list of guys who looked like friggin geniuses as coordinators but failed miserably as HCs from the get go is a long one. Its always one of the risks in changing HCs.

Yes yes yes. I won't just be happy with a McCoy firing. I don't think our owner/stupid ass GM have the nuts to can the HC/OC/DC though.

I was wanting Arians gone. Now I would swim naked through a Piranha filled pool with cows blood slopped on me to have him back. His risk it no biscuit is what made teams fear us. David Johnson would lead the league in rushing right now because if you put 8 in the box...Arians is sending 3 guys deep. I think I got to upset with his 40 yard bombs on 3rd and 1 but I think of he had DJ he runs. Rosen is getting worse because our offense is terrible. Why is Chase Edmonds playing so much. Betcher was a great DC for our team because PP shut down the #1 option. This is insane what we are watching. Wills ran Riveria's scheme...he had help. This is like taking a McDonalds fry guy and trying to run Outback's kitchen.

Bring Arians as OC . Sit in skybox. Help Wilks....and condense his hours. Pay him 4 million. Bradford savings

interesting thought

it would have to be as interim HC. You cant have the old HC hovering over the shoulder of the new HC

it aint happening though

I reiterate anything would be better than this. We are settings records in the wrong way.

I used to think McGinnis was the gold standard for bad Arizona coaches until this season. Wilks makes McGinnis look like a freaking genius.

Yeah, I'd go to B.A. on bended knee to get him to take over as O.C. for the rest of the season.

But he has a cushy T.V. job.
I'd like to think Michael would consider it. But I doubt if B.A. would.
