What do the Cardinals do with a first round draft pick that played all season like a 5th rounder? Trade, develop or "You're crazy, it's way to early in his career to tell"?

Keep. The guy started the season as the #4 option. The depth chart was SUPPOSED to be
1. Gilmore
2. Foster
3. Boldin
4. McAddley/B. Johnson
Seriously, BJ was supposed to "redshirt" this season a little bit. He was forced into the starting lineup, and I think that he did pretty well, for a raw, raw rookie in his position. Personally, I think he deserves about 45% of the criticism that he's gotten on this board, and it's not really fair.
Bryant Johnson has been kind of punished for the poor planning of Graves, Mac, and Sullivan. I think that he'll develop into a solid, solid player. If you remember, the big escalator in his rookie deal was that he participate in something like 35% of the offensive plays, and I think he managed that (anyone know, by the way?). That's not bad, frankly, and for the time that he was on the field, he did well.
Give the kid some time. It's not HIS fault that Foster, Gilmore, and McAddley were pretty much complete failures this season .

Start a thread, toss enough crap on the wall and hope something sticks?

I think Johnson will turn out to be a good receiver. Some people just take a little longer to develop. Unfortunately for him he was playing beside the rookie of the year. I still have high hopes for him and Wendell Bryant once we get some good players to go with them and some coaches who coach and develop some decent game plans.

I have been away from the board for over two months and am enjoying myself by asking questions I am interested in. Don't like my posts, DON"T READ THEM!!!! Live and let live bro and lose the attitude. No need to judge others posts, just don't read them.

It's all good. It's just that the "Boldin Holdout" post was just kind of unnecessary. If you're joking around, fine, but Anquan has a lot of fans here, and deservedly so. The WAY that you expressed yourself even turned off a mild-mannered poster like myself.
We Cards fans are a little protective of our stars, and have thin skins about holdouts.

Agreed and apologies for the poor manner of posting the thought. I love the Quan and what he did for us this year but I have also seen too many players suddenly decide they are too good for the Cardinals. I hope Boldin does not become one of them.

There are a few players whom I will be glad to see given their walking papers by the new regime:
1. Fred Wakefield. Nice career. I'll be glad to have you check out my movies for me at Blockbuster.

Seeing what so many other quality players have done in the past and managed to come down with Simeonitis and left the Cards as soon as they could, do you foresee Boldin doing something like that in the future or do you think he is dedicated to working it through with the Cards?
