HAhahahah...you are one of the biggest BSP fans I know.

Look folks, people like to rip Leinart because dude likes to party, won at USC..whatever. Fact remains he won a Heisman, won a National Championship or two ( I forget), our #1 pic, top 10, and looked DAMN GOOD as a rookie under Denny. He will be fine and he could be great. BSP is CFL at best. Seriously, Palko could take his job. I am for going with two QBs and signing a guy if there ever is a need, ala Rattay, Jeff George, whatever. Season would be toast at that point anyway.

lol im not a BSP fan, I made him my avatar to make fun of Mitch's mancrush on him.

I never heard of Palko until about an hour and a half ago and I like him more than BSP

7 years in the league... like 6 of them in the same system and that was the best he could do?

Guys, it's the first game. Let's settle. There are three more to play. Maybe BSP shows us what he's really made of next week and Leinart and Palko falters.

See post #33. Does it really matter. He's the one who wanted a legit shot at #2. You can't come in and give this kind of effort and expect to be taken seriously.

He was outplayed by every QB on the field tonight, he just doesn't belong. This isn't some guy that you look at and say, "Man, he has the tools, he just needs to settle down." No, I look at him and say, "geeze, who let the stiff on the field"?

and by that same token it wasn't oh, If he had a better line in and the receivers Leinart had when he was in, it may have been different. no. it was damn maybe if BSP wasn't in these receivers might have a chance to show what they got. BSP needs to go, the money could be much better spent.

I posted this on another thread that BSP will most likely make the team because he knows Whis's system and hasn't played this poorly in the past. He is a better #3 qb at this time then Palko. Palko if he continues to look decent would be an excellent candidate to make the practice squad. He is a project and needs time to develop.

I don't disagree you guys at all, but I don't want to be too harsh on BSP yet. I want to give him the next game to either redeem himself or simply confirm what a lot of us thought of him from the start.

Hey I'm all for giving him another shot... but GAWL DAMN... he was hideous. If he had to start our season is toast.

If he had to start, our season would have been toast before it even came to that.

Exactly. That is why I don't even see the need to carry 3 Qb's. If the first two didn't make it. Mail it in!

I dont get love for Garvin either. He did nothing IMO. So he's fast. He can't catch, or break tackles and he doesn't seem to have any moves with the ball in his hand.

He broke tackles in the game. He also returned the ball well on every single touch.

Of course he can't catch, he's converted from a DB who couldn't cover. So? He's here for one reason and one reason only, to try and be the kick returner.

So far he looked great against scrubs. If he looks that good against starters, then he's got the job IMO. Getting the ball on the 35 or so consistently, with this offense, is money in the bank.
