man... it's a good thing I don't live in Phoenix. The access to sports betting is just super dangerous!
Lol I’m in Texas and I feel you cheese. Suns are -3. Always feel weary about betting on my own team but tonight, we need to make a statement. Time to go Buck Hunting. I just hope we don’t press. Play Suns basketball and we got this.

So it looks like we traded Ish for Holiday and cash? is this accurate?

Ish was on a two-way contract so he doesn't count towards the 15 man roster.

The Suns did acquire Holiday for cash using the Disabled Player Exception granted for Saric.

Monty says Ayton facing Embiid was a good test before facing Giannis.

I'm not familiar with what a two way contract is. is this something new?

It's been around for awhile. Each team can have (2) two-way contract players in addition to their 15 man roster.

It mainly benefits undrafted players and supplements the regular roster.

I have not posted since game 2 of last year's finals. I became a Suns guy after about a month of watching and was PUMPED for a beatdown of the Bucks.

But CP3's horrendous game 3 drove me nuts. Why coaches in all sports play injured players instead of capable backups confounds me! (don't get me started on Kyler and Colt)

But I am over last season and look forward to this year's finals. I just hope it ain't vs. that freaky Greek. ;)

Welcome back.

In the Finals, it's hard to sit a player if he is not seriously injured (providing he wants to play) because the opportunity to win a championship is so rare.

It might be hard because the coach hates to be second guessed and stays with the "safe" proven option, but when you have a Cam Payne on the bench....you know?

Cam Payne is a nice role player. You don't win a championship without playing your star players.

Also who was going to backup Payne? Devin Booker can only play so many minutes.

Payne had a sprained ankle bothering him so he was hampered a bit and Booker was limited due to a hamstring or groin injury (I forget which) so we were low on options. They all could play but none of them were near their usual selves.

Yes but he's not really a ballhandler.

Really, it's like this, we were pretty lucky all season long and it went the other way in the playoffs with Paul's Covid, shoulder injury and hand injury plus Saric's leg injury and Booker's broken nose and hamstring pull and Payne's sprained ankle.

Healthy I think we were clearly a better team than the Bucks but that's just the way it goes - let's face it, had the Clippers been healthy it's highly unlikely we would have reached the finals anyway.

OK, I don't feel quite so bad now Steven...maybe we should take our foot off the gas a little to be a tad healthier come June

Yeah, we've played CP especially a little too much lately. Fortunately the all star break is coming up after the next 4 games so they'll get some downtime then and Payne and Shamet should be back around the same time.

How many times over the past several years have we heard Eddie warn us that the first game back from a road trip is always tough? Hopefully, he was talking about the old Suns.
