Budweiser: Official beer of the Cards?

I didn't see this posted, nor did I know if anyone would care, but according to a mini blurb on Channel 12 news during a Today show commercial, they said the Cardinals had reached an agreement with Budweiser to be the official beer sold inside the stadium, as well as the south endzone being the "red zone."

Anyone else heard something of this?

They will still sell other beers inside the stadium. The only thing different will be the area the field rolls in will have 20 seats that Bud will give away by drawing every week and they will call it the Bud Red Zone. No biggee except for Cards who will get a pay day. More usabale bonus money!

The Cardinals picked the most sold beer in the world and they are probably getting a nice paycheck as well. As for the beer, I've been a Bud drinker for over twenty years and I am very happy about the choice.

I usually just sneak a small bottle of Captain Morgan in and buy a Large coke when I get in the gate. That usually does me fine. I have issues with paying 7$ for a watered down, sometimes warm clear beer.

Corona probably will be sold in the stadium, since Anheuser-Busch owns a controlling interest in Corona's parent company.

BTW, A-B is only the official alcohol sponsor. It's not the official beer. And they do own a lot of nice microbrews out there.

Considering that the Cards used to play in Busch stadium, it's nice to see the connection continue.
