Now if you want some bulletin board material read Tim Kawakami's column today about Singletary.

In it he says that the 49ers don't want to be like the Cards, they don't view the Cards as a model they wish to be like and he says it's because Singletary thinks the Cards aren't tough. He doesn't directly quote Singletary but says the 49ers want to be "tough" , hard nose defense, smashmouth offense, they don't want to be a "finess" team like the Cards.

Singletary is an idiot. I originally thought the guy was going to be a great coach and it worried me a bit. He now is proving to be hard-headed and ignorant. They are on their way to having 8 offensive coordinators in as many years. Isn't the point of competition to win by any legal means necessary? I can understand him saying "The strengths of our team are quite a bit different then theirs, and therefore the team we continue to build will be different." But to knock a team for their style of winning is plain stupid.

In other "bulletin-board" news: Jared Allen said yesterday that what happened in Arizona last week was a complete fluke. I liked Allen, but not anymore. (I would still love to have him on our team though).

I used to like Allen too. I think he's a phony now, though. He's one of those guys who is great to be around when everything is going good, but becomes a total jerk when things start to go bad. I bet the players in KC hated him by the time he left.
