Yeah, I might have given him 3 or 4 nights off post-break and tried to keep his per game minutes down around 30 or so but there's a reason nobody sits their stars for a month heading into the playoffs. He'd be out of game shape, physically and mentally - and IMO he'd be at greater risk of injury given that he'd be going full speed without a ramped-up training camp and preseason.

and not only the above, but if a team is rolling, you don't just purposefully throw a huge monkey wrench into the end of the season to completely lose mojo. You want the team operating like a fine-tuned machine at the end of the year, not them coming out of the gates like pre-season.
