I'm on the fence. Suggs' workouts do raise some red flags, but I still trust my eyes. Leftwich wouldn't fill an immediate need but he will (imo) be a star.

Right now (and this could easily change tommorrow :D) I want Leftwich a little bit more.

I am resigned to the fact Newman (my #1 choice) will not be there at #6 so I am hopeful Leftwich will be there. Honestly (trout slap from nidan coming) I would rather see the Cards trade down more than anything but cannot count on that happening.

I dont care what there supposed workout times were.

If you honestly think that Leftwich is going to outrun a pursueing Suggs whos about to get the sack you are seriously delusional and it makes me wonder if you have seen eithe rof them play!

WOW! I like this thread. Very reasoned and intelligent scribes. I agree wholeheartedly that Leftwhich should be the pick. I would love to see the Cardinals be aggressive and go after the guy they want. (whether it be Leftwich or someone else) What I dont want the Cards to do is set passively at #6 and just take the best defensive lineman sitting there (Robertson, Kennedy)

Its all about the future and building around a great player and Leftwich will be that player eventually.

He has made that ridiculous comment several times, and it is by far the most absurd thing I have heard anyone say in at least a month.

Thats the first time I read it and I must say that it is a pretty ridiculous assumption! Because it just would not happen!

How does he not get blown off the line on first down?
Why is he so slow?
Why is he so weak?
How did he train for a second workout, a crucial workout, and actually get slower?
How many adjustments does our entire front seven have to make for one guy if he's not on the line on first down?
Why aren't Walter Jones and Orlando Pace shaking in their boots? I dunno.

I do know...

1. Yes
2. No
3. By his wits, guile, and an awesome second move.
4. Too much beer.
5. Too many hot-coeds.
6. See answers 4 & 5.
7. Non-issue, he'll play every down.
8. They are, their just keeping quiet so as to not look wussy. Why do you think Pace is asking for a $25+ million signing bonus? Insurance for when Suggs brakes him in half.

There's not 1 QB(who most likely is stationary) in the league who's going to outrun an oncoming DE.A QB may juke then get away.I never said Leftwich would outrun a sack from Suggs or any other 4.9 DE.I said Leftwich is faster but in these other guy's world a 4.8 40 is actually slower than a 4.9.I guess that is pretty ridiculous on my part.I'll bet the 55 degrees here in Columbus today is actually warmer than the 80 in Phoenix.I mean, what the f%%k,your saying i'm crazy for saying one guy running a 4.8 is faster than the guy who ran a 4.9.
