Currently I play in Cevo, and Cal we are in open after losing in playoffs to go into Main, professional or Invite.

The 360 needs leagues like Cevo and Cal. How awesome would that be?

If you play the PC version. They have public leagues (Cevo/CAL) where you can register your team/clan, and compete against other teams. Nothing like that has been setup for console versions.

www.gamebattles.com is sure to have it. They started as SOCOMBattles.com back when socom was huge and spawning a ton of ladder style websites online. Then they changed to gamebattles, and took off to be the biggest console ladder there is.

Take pictures of your final scores for proof though, good ole internet = douchebags who think they are the best and try to get out of every loss.

I have never seen gamebattles charge for anything.

It is played over the internet, not against people in arizona, maybe that is the difference.

The charge "credits" which you buy from another site, and pay out in those same credits.

The COD4 360 tourney on the front page is a $7500 tourney.

yeah I cant go on gamebattles from work is why i never looked. Maybe it is from pairing with MLG, not sure, GB was always free.

Regardless, its not like your going to get in trouble for buying your way into a bracket, i bought my way into a flag football league in mesa, same diff.

It does pair with MLG I think. It would be hard to get in trouble.....

Hey, I bought COD4 back when it came out, just started playing it though and on Sunday I jumped ONLINE with it. I used to play Socom for hours and hours, and don't like FPS's, but I have to say, I'M HOOKED!!!

As of late, I'm seeing me aim directly at someone, fire, and not do a damn thing!!! My friend seems to think there are cheats on xbox but I don't think so. However my 'lag' explanation is getting tiresome...

Also, they need to change the code for knifing someone. If you knife me but I pull the trigger before you get to me you die(meaning I die)!!! Right now I'm almost positive that it is the opposite.

I agree. I think this is a server setting, not my local connection. I have been aiming in front of people recently.

the knife code is pretty whack. I think it should take more to knife someone than a simple knife. You are much more likely to due from multiple bullet wounds, than a single stab of the knife.

If I stuck that rambo knife in you as violently as the guy does im sure you would die.

The swipe however, is a little strong. But really, if it wasnt a one hit kill, it wouldnt be very effective.

My problem isn't with the one hit kill for example but with the 10ft separation and lighting speed quickness one has for using the knife option even thought there is a fraction of second difference between (maybe none but due to lag there is) our reaction times. It is the only circumstance were it is okay to bring a knife to a gun fight...

most games I can only get a few months out of, I suppose i would still play alot if my chick didnt come over every day but maps are coming out soon and I havent been on in 2 weeks...not looking good. Its becoming another "only playing that if my friends are on it" game.
