I used UAV jammer and silencers alot when I was new and now find it is easier just to get sometyhing powerful and go kill people at will.

I HATE Juggernaut.

I hate people complaining about juggernaut. Everyone has the perk, it's not like you have to wait until you get to level 55 to use it. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that others shouldn't use it. Pretend it is an extra layer of kevlar and get over it already.

UAV jammer is pointless for snipers. As soon as you fire, you know where they are. You don't move around much as a sniper anyway. Stopping Power and Iron Lungs (when you get there) is where it's at.

Claymores
Stopping Power
Iron Lungs is the classic/ultimate Sniper class.
That is a hard one... As a former sniper there are reason to stay put. But the enemy doesn't have a kill cam. My sniper class uses the UAV jammer because I don't want anyone knowing were I am until I take the shot. Once I've shot 2 or 3 enemies then move to a new location. Juggernaut should fail miserably vs. the .50 cal Barret!!! while moving switch to a silence handgun... If they are a talkative bunch it won't do you any good.

Also alot of the snipers I've seen move very abruptly. The slower you can move the harder it is for the enemy to spot you. It's hard to do because CoD4 is such a fast pass game... On the new 'Creek' map I must have taken out 3 snipers because of their movement before they sent their 'run and gunners' out to kill me. They still didn't learn though. I took out at least three more. Also, try not to use the same locations in the same match. Mix it up....

Wow, got on a roll...

I can see that.

I also play much more search and destroy than anything else. Every game is different. If you were playing domination, or sabotage for example, I could see wanting UAV.

it technically is nothing but extra kevlar but I still hate it. Between that and Matyrdom life can get pretty frustrating.

There is no perk in life where grenades suddenly go off after you die. When I play with my team, they kill so much that I just run over dead guys martyrdom's all day.

If juggernaut was named kevlar itd be a little less stupid but as of now, you just become abnormaly super powered. Besides, Kevlar wont protect you from a 50 cal sniper round.

If I was a sniper in a S and D I would take overkill. Simply because as some point I'm going to have to potentially carry the bomb. Of course you could always change classes but sometimes you don't get the opportunity.

I have used overkill with the sniper a couple of times, but then you run into the 2 or 3 shots for a kill type of thing....

I'm stoked, I am at level 48 and at 49, get the .50 cal sniper rifle :). Not sure if it's better but I imagine maybe I can kill a guy in 2 shots instead of 3 now.

I've been using the MP5 with the AG Scope and loving it. Tough when you're far away, but the thing can own in a close battle. I run outta ammo a lot though.

I've been using the sniper rifle with MP5 with silencer when I play Hardcore S&D. As soon as I get my 150th headshot with the MP5, I'm going back to the M4A1 and M16 to get the head shots with them as well.

I've only been playing online for 2 weeks or so, and already at 1 day and 23 hours. Plus, I work and go to school both full time. Well, I haven't actually gone to class, and have 3 internet classes, but I'm graduating in 4 weeks and already am graduating Magna Cum Laude so don't really care about grades at this point. If it wasn't for Socom, would've been Summa....LOL

Use the bandolier perk that gives you twice the ammo...

2nd LT - Finally the Iron Lungs perk is available.

I tried the Dragunov with the ACOG scope. The ACOG scope is terrible with that gun.

Yesterday I had a 17/2 game (my best to date) and I followed it up with a 2/13 game. Still wildly inconsistent.

Awesome. It takes a while to get used to. Thank goodness I am getting to the point where a bad game is around 1:1 KD. A good game is 24/2 like I went last night.

I haven't been able to get used to ACOG and snipers. I rarely use them, so the only time I ever have them, is when I pick them up. It's like a different gun completely. Then again, I don't use ACOG much on any gun, I'd rather a red dot or silencer.

I'm an average player but the times I really suck is when I'm on a team and they don't communicate!!! Also, Twice lastnight I had two games were the beginning of each game I was 0/6 (or close to that) only to turn it around and finish 11/7 and 10/8.

Its a lot harder to communicate on these newer maps, don't know where everything is.

I try to communicate, especially in S&D.

Chinatown is the hard one for me. Creek and Broadcast not so much..

Ryan said you guys were kicking ass lastnight. I know the last match I played we won by 5 or 6 kills.

I had a good night especially since it was the first time I played those maps. I never had below 1KD.

I had another good night last night. On the Chinatown map, I increased my kill streak to 19.

It sucks my headset broke though. I knew it would happen with a 3rd party one. :bang:

Yes and no. It uses your TV speakers, eventhough you are using a digital connection. I never understood that one, as I have my TV speakers set to off. They still go through the TV somehow. It is barely audible to me.

I'm going to get a new headset tonight.

I've been playing pretty well as of late.

But I kind of did something that isn't meant to be done, I think.

In Crossfire (the one with the tanks the middle of the map, I was on the building that's in the middle where people like to use the sandbags for cover and snipe across the map, I usually go out the window onto the patio and cover the area on that side, until somebody through a grenade up there.

I got up and ran and jumped, into a window of a building top that there is no way to get into.

So I stayed up there and ran up a decent kill streak before my team won. And when we got to the map again, I did it again, but this time the action stayed on the other side of the map and I had to move to play.

I have seen people do that a couple of times.

I'd like to see them bring back some COD2 and COD3 maps and put them up there for play.

Anybody else having problems with the server?

It seems as if all weekend I have been having issues returning to a game. After I join a session and the game is complete, upon returning the lobby I get the intermission countdown at the top of the screen, but then it says searching for host and I get a pop up box saying lobby is closed.

I then join a new session only to join the session I was kicked out of and everything is hunkydory.

I thought maybe it was because I don't have the new maps, but I haven't ran into an issue where the new maps have come up.

The new maps could be it. Your internet connection could be it either. I didn't play for most of the weekend. I haven't had those problems, but then again, I have the new maps.
