Go ahead, Kurt...you wanna end your career throwing to Jason Hill and playing behind five CFL-quality linemen? Go ahead. Have fun.

This is a lame negotiating ploy. If Warner wants to pretend like he's going to play for Cap'n Pants Dropper in SF then the Cardinals should pretend like they'll let him.

They should drop the offer 500k every 5 days. I mean really, it is probably Leinart's time anyway.

Is Kurt bluffing?

Perhaps.

But, has there ever been a bigger bluff than, "We think Matt will do just fine"?

Give Warner's money to Q and Smith and get them signed.

Smith can take a long walk off a short pier for what he'll be demanding.

Give some money to Q, extend Dansby and Wilson and get some pass rushers in here

Why did you use Jason Hill as an example? He'd be more interested throwing the ball to Isaac Bruce! Kurt Warner will be our starter for the next 2 years tho!

It's about time everyone else sees KW for what he is..a big phony. Says one thing, does another. I have never been a big fan of KW. Would the Cards have made it to the Super Bowl without him this past season? No. Do they need him to reach the Super Bowl in the future again? No. Time for #7.

I wrote nothing in that previous message that I would never take back. I never liked KW that much and in 2005 was furious when the Cards signed him. Is he a great QB, sure. But he needs the support around him.

Is he a classy guy? Seems like it. But to me there is always something missing with the "good guy" persona. After every win he credits 1) himself 2) God and Jesus 3) Larry or Q 4) the occasional shout out to an olineman or RB, in that order. When they lose it's everyone else's fault. At least that's what it seems like to me.

I have had enough of this crap. It was bulding up, but it really exploded with me at the Pro Bowl when he said he would stay if Q does. To be quite frank and I love Q, but I have had it with both their attitudes. He says he likes the Cards, yet ******* about $1.5 million. Cool. Send Q and KW to the Lions in a package deal. Go love it somewhere else, at least that's how I see it. I will not take any of that back either...:mulli:

We have other players that need to be concentrated on as well Kurt you ******* thanks for dragging this out! In the end HE KNOWS he has an ideal situation here and doesn't want to go anywhere else and probably would not be successful anywhere else, he will sign don't give in Cards!

First off one HOF QB that didn't what?

Secondly KW is not in the HOF yet so cool your jets.

Thirdly we all know your upset your man isn't inked yet, but I didn't attack you or your posts so I would greatly appreciate it if you extend me the same courtesy.

  1. A HOF QB that didn't "need support around them."
  2. He will be! Six years after he officially retires.
  3. Sorry, your post just upset me.

Agents will say anything to get more money. Kurt will make the final decision and it will not all be about money.

How about Manram turing down $25 mil for one year with a $20 mil option the second year. Does the dude know we are in a recession? Dam! He makes more in a month than I make in a lifetime. How much money is enough? The Dodgers are starting to embarrass themselves bidding against themselves and Manram turning down the largest offer he will ever get. Both sides are nuts.

Sando and Somers don't seem to think that these negotiations are very serious between Kurt and the 49ers. I agree with the topic and just call his bluff.

Kurt is clearly uncomfortable with all this drama. This is his agents doing because Kurt was so clear in his intention to stay here. His agent is trying to regain some negotiating ground but I suspect no one is buying. To attack Kurt is ridiculous. He has done nothing wrong here unless the reports of trying to leverage a deal for Q are accurate. Even that shows similar naivety to telling everyone he is only interested in AZ. His agent must be going crazy he doesn't get a dime if we redo Q's deal.
