It is all just posturing. I just wish Kurt would tell his agent get this or I am retiring. But alas, that would just be to easy. Man, how would it be if agents weren't allowed in the NFL, then the brainchilds would get to make their own deals.

Kurt is clearly uncomfortable with all this drama. This is his agents doing because Kurt was so clear in his intention to stay here. His agent is trying to regain some negotiating ground but I suspect no one is buying. To attack Kurt is ridiculous. He has done nothing wrong here unless the reports of trying to leverage a deal for Q are accurate. Even that shows similar naivety to telling everyone he is only interested in AZ. His agent must be going crazy he doesn't get a dime if we redo Q's deal.

Excellent post!!! Agents have egos just as bad as players do, and they get a commission based upon how big a deal is. And with the publicity of contracts these days, its excellent marketing for yourself if you can get a team to overpay for your client's services.

Bartelstein is no exception. He's no different than Drew Rosenhaus, except he doesn't command the spotlight as much. See his website about some of his accomplishments:

I think everyone kids themselves about whats important to players.

I would guess 99.9 percent of players have a list similar to the one below when determining who they will sign for.

1. $$$

2. $$$

3. $$$

4. Location

5. quality of team/organization

Uh the Bay area is the most expensive place next to

New York to live in. I can't see Kurt and his wife and 7 kids wanting to go there. The taxes and cost of living are so much higher that he'd need a huge raise to maintain the same lifestyle as here. It's a negotiating ploy. Singletary runs the ball anyhow.
