Deja Vu all over again and a lil rant...

I called Amare out back in this thread and I am calling him out again now.

Many of you agreed with me when I started this thread and when I re-read it I thought to myself " this is the same way he has been playing the last few games" nothing has changed.

Amare you want to be the man? You want to be feared again? Well just look around you. Shaq (37?) is showing you how to get it done.

I am sick of watching you get stripped, hesitate at the elbow or top of the key and then bitch at the ref like your little brother just took your ice cream. Shut up and play.

Good games, bad games, not enough touches, bad refs JUST SHUT UP and PLAY HARD. Look at Grant Hill..another guy who is showing you how to get it done and he is 37 and has had multiple surgeries.

KMART owned you in Denver and some guy named Thomas owned you tonight against Minny.

Minny was LAUGHING at you Amare. How does that feel? How does it feel to have Kevin Love man handle you (bs call)?

Amare? Shut up and play. Play like you are capable of. No more excuses just more effort.

Amare's ego will always get the better of him. Look at Duncan, he might be a flopper but the guy is a team player whose clutch. He shuts up, plays basketball and wins. Amare needs to get mad and just dominate. All this pompous crap he pulls just because he could dunk the ball is sick to watch.

Just a flash idea. How about trading Amare to the Clippers for Camby + Jason Hart, and maybe another filler to match the salary.

To be honest, I don't see us making a major trade again this season. We r probably done dealing, maybe 1 or 2 small FA signing. We'd better hope Amare regain his form quickly ...

I'd send Amare to NY for Lee/Chandler in a heartbeat. NY would be able to run Harrington and Stoudemire in their starting lineup and they would be potent offensively. We'd end up with a rebounding beast/heart and hustle player as well as a high quality wing player for depth (Chandler could even start here).

Then I would be open to a Nash for Calderon trade. That's not because I dislike Nash because I believe he plays at or above his ceiling, but at some point you gotta get value. I might hedge on a Nash trade because he is off the books next year anyways, but I'm at least open to it....

Sick. Hell, I'd even throw in Barbosa to NY to make that deal go down, but I think he'd do quite well here with that cast of players....

Amare for Lee + Chandler is toooooo much favorite for NY, and the salary is too far apart. Lee + Al Harrington might work, but it would make our our SF/PF position too crowded, Harrington is not the type of player we need. The other players in NY doesn't interest me at all.

If we r willing to part with Amare now, I'm sure we can find a lot of better deals. How about these.

Let's give the Bulls the scoring big man they have been long for, take back Hinrich, who they have been trying to get rid of ever since drafted Derrick Rosk. Hinrich will be good for us for next few years if Nash leaves. To make the deal fair and match in salary, we'll also get Tyrus Thomas or Joakim Noah, depends on which one they r willing to give up, both r excellent young defensive PF, probably a future star.

Or we can send Amare to GSW, it would be a dream comes true for Nelson, a perfect fit for their ultra small ball + offense only system, Amare would be the man to shoot freely and never worry about defending or rebounding any more. In return we get Crawford (not a pure PG but good enough for our backup role), Brandan Wright (as much potential as Tyrus Thomas/Noah), and another salary filler, probably Turiaf (a big man to help Shaq rest more).

Both plan should improve us immediately while also prepared for future.

It is also important to mention that Amundson's improvement made Amare vulnerable. In 7 games in Jan, Amundson got 5.7 ppg and 6.6 rpg in about 20 minutes. It means with one of the incoming bigs mentioned above, the change on our PF position should not harm the team much, if not actually improve. Think about it, we get much better in defence and rebounding, while the incoming PG will make sure we don't miss the 20ppg gone with Amare.

Lee/Chandler is NOT a lowqball trade for Amare, period. Lee is playing out of his mind this year and his value will surpass Amare's in the near future. Chandler is a starter-quality swing who would do well in this system. As for salaries, I hadn't gone that far into the deal, but the Knicks have pieces to make it fit. Amare is a lazy ass with immense talent. He puts up OK stats and occasionally has a game where he decides to show up. I personally would LOVE Lee/Chandler for Amare....

No. I have wanted Lee on this team for some time now. I actually believe the opposite of your thought. I think his stats were lower in the past because of the poor coaching. He has ALWAYS been a heart and hustle player and his rebounds per minute has always been a consistent stat. The only variable has been playing time. Now he has it and the stats are merely a byproduct of his playing time....

It has more to do with the typ of scorer Dirk is vs. Amare. That's all it boils down to. Think about the rest of our personnel and in particular how Dirk and Shaq could be complementary players, IMO....
