and if not for Cam, that team would be done. The O and D are equally dependent on each other.
Don't buy it... His stats speak volumes... I liken him to Michael Vick back in his prime..A phenomenal athlete but not a phenomenal QB

that's ridiculous. you take him off that team, and put a "bad" QB in there and they probably have 3 wins at most. Stewart is dog-crap at RB and his WRs are atrocious. The guy is a one man offense, doing whatever he needs to do to move chains, averaging 28 ppg. That's the QB's job, right? To lead the offense to points? Well, he's definitely not a phenomenal passer... that I'll give you. But he's a pretty damn good QB this year.
It's the same exact team that struggled to win 7 last year. A few plays here & there & they're are 5-3, just like most other good teams. They aren't dominate by any means. Adversity will come at some point to them & every other team.
Scam is a good QB nothing more. Last time I checked their D is pretty good & Stewart is trash? Lol Scam ain't carrying that team & a 1 man crew I'm sorry.
The Cards can beat them, the Panthers are just the flavor of the week & it'll change...just like it has with GB...just like it did with Atlanta...just like it did will with others this year.

Come on cheese? The guys stats are equal to Colin freaking Kaepernick.... Do you consider him a great or even good QB?? I doubt it...
Listen Cam is good I do believe he is a "good QB" but he is hardly an MVP candidate imo like they were stating all over NFL radio earlier today...
I do believe you could put a mediocre QB on that team and they would still be winning games their D is that good.. Put A "Bad" QB? It's questionable bad QBs typically make every team they're on bad if playing.
Yes... Jonathan Stewart is trash. He's been in the league 8 years, rushed for 1000 yards ONCE, topped 800 two other times and is averaging 3.9 yards per carry. He's a guy. Nothing more, nothing less.
And no one said Cam's a one man team. He's a one man O. Everyone acknowledges their D is very good.
But keep laughing hysterically... At what I have no idea.
Why not? Their offense may not be all glits & glamour, but they get the job done because of Cam on that side. Their defense is really legit, too.
I wouldn't say we are just yet, & I'm a big Aaron Rodjuhssssss fan, but please do not say GB is either.
Who said he wasn't respected in the locker room? Did i miss that argument?
He still pouts & acts offended towards the media at certain questions when they lose, he did it last year.
I'm still not buying he's a stud or that Carolina is the best in the NFC.
Right... Because you see him as another Mike Vick, right?
I sure do
As I've said, I don't see Newton as a perennial Pro Bowler or ever becoming one of the elite QB's. Time will tell the story though... The stats at this point certainly resemble Vick. However, IMHO, Newton has more of the intangibles and the "it" stuff than did Vick. Which means to me that Newton will produce more wins and drive more team success than did Vick.
We'll see...
He's definitely one guy I was completely wrong about coming out of college. Would not have touched him given the situations he had in college but in hindsight a kid and his dad trying to get money in a recruitment doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be a problem in the NFL when he has LOTS of money.
Cam is the best athlete at the position and a great leader. He is middle of the pack passer though, but with the right team around him can win.
I dont think this is the right team. Im praying they win the #1 seed if we dont. I dont want any part of going to Green Bay, Seattle and dont love going to NY, Philly, or Minny either mostly for weather reasons.
But Carolina? For the NFC Championship? I wont say its a guaranteed win but thats certainly the best case scenario for us if we are any seed but #1. Thats just common sense in my mind although sounds like some are buying in hard on these guys and they have been impressive. But i think we matchup well and would like revenge for last year.
I think it's far from a guaranteed win, but I agree that having to go to Carolina seems like the path of least resistance if we play the NFC Title game on the road.
I dunno — Both St. Louis and Pittsburgh have solid pass rushes backed up by shaky secondaries. That's the defensive philosophy of the Panthers, only backed up by a better secondary and linebackers than either of those teams.
This is a rich-people's problem, honestly. Carolina's schedule is ridiculous the rest of the way. They could easily end up 14-2.
