Top NFL draft prospect Cam Ward, the favorite to be selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick in April's 2025 NFL Draft, put on a show at his pre-draft pro day on Monday, showing off the big arm and athleticism that makes him someone the Titans could be building their future around.

Ward threw for approximately 45 minutes Monday, completing passes to top Miami pass catching prospects like receiver Xavier Restrepo and tight end Elijah Arroyo. Ward wasn't perfect; he missed on a couple of routine throws. But for the most part he was accurate and in control and proved himself more than capable of making the throws he's shown on tape across the last five seasons. This included several reps where Ward showed off his knack for making off-balance, on-the-move and across-the-field throws with ease.

Several Titans key decision makers were on hand for Monday's showcase, including coaches Brian Callahan and Bo Hardegree as well as president of football operations Chad Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi. Representatives from all 32 NFL teams were reportedly in Coral Gables for the event, including top executives like New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, two top minds representing one of the franchises likeliest to be interested in trading with the Titans to acquire the No. 1 pick and draft Ward.

Tennessee Titans NFL draft strategy: Cam Ward at No. 1?

The Titans own the No. 1 pick one month out from the draft, which begins on April 24. Ward is considered the consensus No. 1 quarterback prospect in the class, although not the consensus No. 1 prospect overall. That distinction usually belongs to either Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter or Colorado receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter.

Ward did, however, put together an All-America season at Miami in 2024, his first year at the school. Ward previously spent two years playing at Incarnate Word in the FCS and two years at Washington State. A zero-star recruit out of high school, Ward rose through the ranks to become the NCAA Division I all-time leader in touchdown passes, combining his time in the FCS and FBS.

The next-highest-rated quarterback behind Ward is Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, who will have his equivalent of a Pro Day on April 4. The quarterbacks on the Titans roster heading into the offseason include Will Levis and Brandon Allen.
