All of this is true.

Except for the Kevin Kolb part.

I don't think Kolb is even a serviceable QB. Unless you think serviceable means a guy who can get you to 5-11. He's had one and a half good games plus 3 minutes since October of 2010 versus teams that had any semblance of a defense. Plus both years he's been in Arizona the more he started the worse he played.

How many long sustained TD drives has he engineered in games the Cards have won? 2-3 maybe? How many to run out the clock? Most of the TDs came on long pass plays. (Of course Double Dunce had several long TD drives and we saw where that got us and the Cards have almost never been able to sustain drives to run the clock so maybe that isn't something to use to rate a Cardinals QB.)

I think Kolb just can't play once he's been hit a few times over the course of a few games. And no offense in the NFL can protect their QB to the point where he's never hit.

The Cardinals drafted Cody Brown when they had the opportunity and he was a bust.

The 2013 Cardinals just fired a very good DC for the sake of improving the offense.....don't see drafting a pass rusher in our immediate future.

I'm pretty sure the 49ers picked up their elite pass rusher AFTER they solidified the O-line. Lets beef up our O-line first (which we can easily fix this offseason), then we can think about a pass rusher the following years.

This is the new NFL; if you can't score you can't win.

I think it's the same old NFL, if you can't do everything, you aint touching the Lambardi. Cards have had it both ways recently, could score but couldn't stop teams, then it went all Missy Elliot, now that it is reversed scoring will most definitely look more important again. Truth is you goota do it all paul (and at the same time).

Very true. All I know is that our defense is legit and can wait for a pass rusher.... for now

Thanks but no thanks lol. I'll slowly work my way up. Only 87 posts to go!

Welcome to the board, Woody. Thanks for your service (I assume); keep your comrades' hands off the little Japanese girls over there.

When exactly could you ever win without scoring?

Perhaps you misunderstood what I was trying to say. The NFL is very offensive minded now, and without a high powered offense.... well your team won't do crap.

If I had to choose between the #1 Offense vs #1 Defense.. I'd put my money on that Offense all day.

Jarvis Jones will give you five yrs. max in this league. Stenosis is no joke.

Everyone clamoring for Warmack and then jumping off doesn't make sense. :hulk:

Such is the nature of armchair scouts.

On topic, Warmack or one of the edge rushers would be a good pick up. All should be immediate impact players and IMO have a far greater chance of sticking in this league than any of the QBs.

That kind of response is typical on football message boards. That is why, if you want to discuss what the Cards need to do to win, you have to write "How do we score more points than Seattle" Instead of "How do we beat Seattle" otherwise you'll invariably get 2-3 posters who answer "score more points". :)
