Cooper was terrible. Got off to a good start and progressively got worse

Still have Rasul Douglas and Cordea Tankersly which are valid options still on the board...

So, should we just shut the board down until then?

And you realize that a) waiting until week 2 to get our #2 CB singlehandedly lost is Game 1 that BA said threw the entire team off and b) that Marcus Cooper was generally awful
After his first couple games and that spot killed us most of the year?

Reach much? Nobody said anything of the sort. And you realize that All that was said is let's judge the final product not the team in April. that is all, nothing to see here.

Geez I wouldn't say that Cheese. Last year special teams was our biggest weakness. On defense it is was ILB after Cooper came.

I don't know why you get so defensive. You can criticize it is cool. I just want to wait til at least the end of the draft before I gnash the proverbial teeth

Just don't see much CB starting material left, thus the gnashing. And I'm just tired of hearing the broken record repeating "Bethel will REALLY step up this year!" And Williams doesn't even deserve to be mentioned as an option after his beyond horrific play not only at the beginning of the season, but his performance at the end.

Don't see either as a starting CB next year, do you?

I like Douglas he is tall rangy and athletic... 6'2" and had 8 ints last year shows some real ball skills.... I owuldnt be upset or surprised to see him drafted and possibly rise the depth chart...Lot of pick left however

It just pisses me off that we're drafting "high risers who have to learn a new position and "versatility" in our first couple picks while completely ignoring massive needs that have been there for a couple years.

And we're looking at another year where there is no QBOF on the horizon.

The entire off-season seems to be a neither here nor there attitude.

Lewis is rated as the 35th best available player according to Scouts Inc and #7 overall in CBs. 87 rated

Desmond King is the #12 CB available and #77 overall

When I say 35th I mean 35th overall. Not best still there.

It makes me happy that we are picking athletes and not need-picking.

In a draft supposedly loaded at CB, and with a DIRE NEED at the position, I have a hard time understanding drafting two guys in round 1 and 2 who won't even start year 1 and then basically trading to the bottom of the 3rd round.
This!
