The Cards weren't going to be drafting a starting CB in round 3+ anyway. If they wanted to draft a starting CB, they would have taken one at 13.

Brandon Williams is who I think starts this year. I can't understand why people are so quick to write him off.

Because Brandon Williams played like hot garbage to begin and end the season and showed no reason that he can become a contributor. The Logan Thomas of CBS.

The Cowboys are letting starting RCB Orlando Scandrick go. Steve Keim -- work your magic with Scandrick! We don't need more youth at RCB...we need a veteran.

Isn't Scandrick exclusively a slot corner?

He started for them at RCB in the base, then, he was shifted to NCB in sub packages. He is exactly the kind of veteran CB the Cardinals need.

He was beaten off the line on press coverage and that's not a surprise. I think his coverage skills are there and just needs technique improvement. Again, not a surprise for a raw 3rd round pick.

Man, Tankersley would have made Day 2 an A++. Sometimes Keim needs to be saved from himself with his trade downs, going down 22 picks to get back a 4th rounder cost them a CB that could have started Day 1, unless Keim has a plan to deal for a veteran CB, they need to take one in Round 4 or we are going to be stuck without a #2 CB (no I don't consider Williams or Bethel #2 CB's).

Hat was supposed to be what he was good at. What is he good at? He was as bad or worse at the end of the season as he was at the beginning.

He was destroyed and confounded by even average NFL route runners.

Elie Bouka -- Canandian Cinderella story.

I wouldn't give this too much grief. He's an outstanding athlete if he can stay healthy. One of my guys saw him in college in Canada and he was good enough to get several teams offering him. The CFL wanted him. It's just a big gamble to count on him with the experience gap and the injury issue. BTW the Cards are one of about 7 teams that do significant scouting in Canada. They look at the college programs and the CFL. My colleague told me tell also show up at some basketball games. Sounds like a fun gig.

How great would it be for the Cardinals if Elie Bouka is the answer at RCB? It's a longshot, but that's the great thing about talent and determination and the old right place at the right time.
