Can we all agree now Josh is NOT the QB of the future?

Not that Shipp's fumble was his fault but he had 2 guys wide open for TD's that he didn't see on that drive and if he finds either one of them, we never get to Shipp fumbling.

This is unreal, 2 TD's by the worst defense in the NFL, and the first quarter isn't even over yet.

Green might want to check with ESPN at the half if he can get his old job back after this debacle.

Oh well, fact is we can still win the game as we all saw we have WR's running WIDE open all over the field.

Sane people realized Josh's only future is insurance sales about three years ago.

I never felt he was the answer but I think tonight will show even the most staunch McCown supporter how bad he is. There are guys open on every play and hes not seeing them and then we get another fumble.

Seriously, put in Navarre at least he might see the open WR./

I have to agree, I thought AZ even had an official press release about this. Never knew there was still a debate.

I'm not a Josh supporter.

The problem is that Warner et al of the backups aren't the answer either.

A decent line would be a good start.

Both fumbles occured because of jailbreaks allowed by our line.

The OL sucks but how many times does ESPN have to call Josh out for not seeing wide open WR's before we admit that if he could see the field we would be tearing up the 49ers?

I'd go to Navarre if we don't score on the next series, at least he'll see downfield.

Thing is, if we put in Navarre, we're going to give up 10 sacks in the 2nd half alone.

Russ I hope they do.

Because you are flat out wrong.

Navarre is not better than Josh, no matter how bad Josh may be Navarre isn't any better but if you insist, I hope you get your wish so you can see that for yourself.

Who cares I can't stand the overthrows and the lack of vision. Even the good throw that Boldin dropped he led him right into the safety, if Boldin had caught it the guy would have taken his head off.

This team just infuriates me, how can Green look so damn calm when this stuff is happening?>

I'll put up with watching Navarre get sacked every play for the rest of the game so long as I don't ever have to watch McCown float another pass five yards out of bounds. ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least he might see someone open and not overthrow them. I'm not sayign Navarre is good mind you just that Josh is clearly not taking advantage of this chance, he's got guys open, he either can't see them, or can't throw the ball accurately.

As bad as the vision cone of McCown is, his mobility behind our line is an absolute must.

Edit... I guess what I am trying to say is, its a catch 22. You're screwed with McCown in there, you're screwed with navarre in there.

Face it, you're a cards fan, you're screwed.

Josh looked a lot better on that last drive maybe he's settled down. That first quarter was brutal, he had 2 picks dropped, one of which would have been a TD for Parrish.

He made 2 nice runs which is good to see and the flip to Shipp was a great play by both of them, but he just can't see the field. I don't care how good of an athlete he is, if he can't see th efield, he can't play QB.

McCown sounded like a very intelligent QB while he was wired........

McCown doesn't seem to see guys getting open or others outside of the initial guy in the play he's primarily looking for

Even on the TD pass and the great catch by Fitz, look at the replay, Boldin is WIDE open on the slant for the TD, the safety rotates over to Fitz and Boldin is uncovered. At least he threw the ball where Fitz could make the play.

You forgot the :sarcasm:

But, Josh did finish the half very strong. Hope he can keep it up.

Boldin, aside from getting open on seemingly every play, isn't having a very good "hands" game.

I saw that too, but i can hardly blame him for thinking Fitz all the way on that one.
