Can you imagine Warner at QB with Vick and Boldin right next to him?

This team has pretty good character when compared to pro athletes in general. Let's keep a roster that we don't have to be ashamed of.

Mike Vick is a craphead. I don't care about his 40 time.

If the Cards ever signed him, I am selling my tickets to opposing fans every game.

Won't happen. This team has enough offense without him and MB is too smart to mess that up. Plus pretty much everyone on the team right now has such high character that the FO won't mess that up either.

Michael Vick would ruin team morale, or team unity I mean..

No offense Laura, but how in the hell do you know this? By all account, he was very popular in the locker room in Atlanta, and I think many NFL players would look at the situation differently than many fans here.

But I wouldn't bet on it.
We'll see. If he can get 10 snaps a game I think he makes a big difference for who ever he plays for.

Again, this is not an endorsement for him here. I'm just saying that I don't think you can underestimate what he can do to defenses--especially now that there is a proliferation of offenses out there that seem tailor made for him.

I have seen him play. 52% passer. Meh.

He almost single handedly rescued Atlanta from being a 4 win team to the NFC Championship game in a short amount of time. 52% passer and all.

52% means he didn't do it almost single-handedly. He is Kordell Stewart. Or Rex Grossman.

:)

Come on man. He didn't need to use his arm. I think we all know that about Vick. :mulli:

I would still rather watch Randall Cunningham. Both are/were gimmicks that don't work long term in the Not For Long league.

Was Randall a gimmick with the Vikings too? And before you say Moss/Carter, if he was a gimmick, it shouldn't have mattered.

How long did Randall play in Minny? Not for long. :) Are you saying Randall became successful becoming a regular QB, and that Vick will become that after being out of the league 2 plus years?

Giddyup.

I'm not saying that at all.

I think it is entirely possible that Vick is not signed soon enough to be fully integrated into an offense this year.

He's still suspended... so he's got that going for him

I'm not even sure he gets signed by a team. If he did though, he could definitely make an impact. Miami would have been perfect, but they drafted Pat White.

He signs with the team with fewest dog loving season ticket holders.;)

This is America: Love animals - hate people.

He'd have a better chance of getting signed as a paroled axe murderer.

Vick is way over rated. When the Cards played him back in 2004 they just created a pocket around him and basically said, beat us with your arm. Well his passes couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Vick has the accuracy of a sharpshooter with Parkinson's Disease. My guess is that it didn't get any better by being away from football for so long.

Plus while he may have paid his debt to society. He still hasn't paid his debt to the NFL. Lets not forget that he looked Goddell in the eye and flat out lied to him. I think that is an automatic 8-12 game suspension from the commisioner right there.

Why anyone would want this distraction on the defending NFC Champions is beyond me?

As an aside this whole dog fighting thing could turn out to be a fortuitous event for the longevity of Vicks career ultimately.

After this happened Vick has been humbled. He knows now he will need to cater to what a team wants him to do if he wants to stay in the league. And that he CAN'T be a starting QB anymore. This should have been the design for him from the beginning. No team would havewon anything of consequence with him as a QB. Once you get to the championship games the "running QB" can be schemed for by a defense that stays disiplined and at that point you better have something to fall back on, like throwing the ball.

Now Vick can be used the way he always should have been - as a part time weapon that will give D-coordinators fits having to plan for.

I have my doubts he will be the same person athletically but if he is even 70% he could be a major weapon.

But if this crime wouldn't have happened his ego would have never allowed for it and he would have kept on doing what he was doing under the allusion he could win it all without becoming a better passer. And Mullis right - he might have actually REGRESSED as a passer through the course of his career so its safe to say the light switch wasn't going to suddenly flip on.

I equate Vick to Allen Iverson. Great athletic talents with no understanding of team dynamic and how to achieve overall success by making the people around you better. They are both thugs too and ironically enough grew up about 10 miles away from each other in Virginia Beach.

If Vince Young has half a brain he's watching how the whole Vick thing plays out as more then just a partial observer.

The Cards created the blueprint on stopping Vick. That in itself is a complete mystery as the Cards defense hasn't shown the ability to stop anyone or any team. Oh yeah... we still lost.... :bang:
