How do you see the Cardinals doing this year?

I'm having a hard time pinning them down. I think they could be anything this year.

Will Kyler have a Mahomes/Lamar like 2nd season or a Mayfield season? Will Kliff continue to develop as a HC or will he be figured out? Will Vance actually turn out to be a good DC? (No. No he won't)

If we can get a full season out of everyone I like how the team looks. Sadly, I think if you scrape away the surface at positions like OLB and Corner it's not great.

But lets say we get lucky with injuries this is how I see it going.

WK DATE OPPONENT Result
1 Sun, 13 Sep @San Francisco L
2 Sun, 20 Sep vs Washington W
3 Sun, 27 Sep vs Detroit W
4 Sun, 4 Oct @Carolina W
5 Sun, 11 Oct @New York Jets L
6 Tue, 20 Oct @Dallas L
7 Sun, 25 Oct vs Seattle L
8 BYE WEEK
9 Sun, 8 Nov vs Miami W
10 Sun, 15 Nov vs Buffalo L
11 Fri, 20 Nov @Seattle W
12 Sun, 29 Nov @New England W
13 Sun, 6 Dec vs Los Angeles W
14 Sun, 13 Dec @New York Giants L
15 Sun, 20 Dec vs Philadelphia L
16 Sun, 27 Dec vs San Francisco W
17 Sun, 3 Jan @Los Angeles W

That would give is a 9-7 record.

There are always games teams lose that they should win on paper at the start of the year. Those are the Jets and Giants this year. I think both teams will be average but the travel and empty stadiums sees a pair of narrow defeats.

I have us beating the Rams twice. I think the Rams will be 8-8 type team but we are just due against them.

I'll go with optimism but not insanity.

9-7. Have to see Kyler mature, and the defense gel.

I like our schedule more than I like our roster (crazy) so I will go 10-6. Cam, Wentz or Jimmy G will be injured by the time we play those teams which will sneak us a win.

I really question if they even get 16 games in. If the league get overwhelmed by the virus and say they decide to play a game every other week (two weeks of isolation if positive works well for a every other week schedule) what games actually get played?

Okay, just hypothetically speak like 16 games will get done.

7 to 9 Wins if we play 16.

That's 44% to 56% winning percentage. Anything more may give me a heart attack.

Have you not seen what the teams are doing? Covid isn't a ninja assassin that hides in your gym bag and attacks the locker room while your not looking.

Daily or Bi-daily tests. Player tracking. Temp scans. Restricted access. Social distancing. No touch dispensing. Outdoor gyms. Teams of people spraying everything down and a thousand other things.

I'm 99% sure every team plays every game.

7-9 to 11-5

I can see all possibilities within this window.

7-9 is a competitive, flawed team with lots of close losses.

11-5 is a slightly surprising team where a few young players take the leap.

8-8... I still think all these quick turnarounds which seem to have become the norm is not realistically the norm, and to finish 500 would be a well received accomplishment for a young QB and coach :raccoon:

Slow turnarounds aren't the norm.

9ers? Quick turnaround.
Rams? Quick turnaround
Ravens? Quick turnaround

There are lots of examples of this. Fewer Seahawk, slow turnarounds.

As we all know, it's a crap shoot to predict this early how easy or tough the schedule actually is. Will they actually play 16 games?? Injuries can just devastate us. Depending on these factors, we can be anywhere from 7-9 to even 11-5. That being said, if we stay relatively healthy, I'm going with 10-6. A 4-6 win season & I'll have serious doubts about KK being here longer than 3 years.

I'm confused: are you suggesting that the 49er and Ram "turnaround" were quick?

6-10 or 7-9. I think the lack of OTAs/a true camp will hurt our chemistry as a young team.

We almost did last year. And that was with the element of surprise for our offense, which we don't have now.
We almost did last year with the element of a rookie QB & rookie NFL HC making their debuts. Along with a lot of inexperienced players on defense.

That should be our easiest game at home. Even more so than Washington cause at least Washington has a ferocious front 4 that will most likely give our OL problems.
