We beat Seattle next week & we're back tied for 1st & then have 2 games that are very winnable, Panthers & Patriots. This one stings but it is what it is, if the refs don't fudge us at the 3 yard line we win imo, regardless of all the other mistakes.
This is true. Seattle is rolling now. Going to be a tough out next week. But gannon usually has us ready. Have to come out and punch Seattle in the mouth.

How did Cards lose this game? They out gained Vikes 406 to 273. Passing edge goes to Cards 252 to 205; outshined them on the ground 154 to 68. But they lost the sack race 5-1 and turnover race 2-1.

It boils down to kylers inability to take advantage of blitzing defenses. I believe they dialed up the blitz each of those downs and kyler crumbled.
Man…I would love to have a drink with you and spend a couple hours chatting about this. So hard to do on a message board. Essentially, it comes down to panic. When Kyler gets something he doesn’t expect he just kinda locks up and then rushes to catch back up. Happens to a lot of perfectionists.

It's the book on the Cardinals offense, not Kyler. Beating man requires a receiver to... beat his man. None of ours can do that. Kyler had to force the throw in to Marv who couldn't gain an inch of separation and actually lost any leverage, allowed the DB to be underneath him with no room to place the ball.
Interception thrown right to defender definitely receivers fault. Lol.

Sorry but this team isn’t winning at least 2 of the last 3 NFC West games (at least) to win the West & I’m & that’s not even counting Car & NE who are playing better. No NFC West team makes it as a WC

I just watched it again. Kyler was pouting going into the huddle on that last play. You don’t see that out of clutch QBs. It’s like he wasn’t confident at all on that play.

Tough one man. Murray not clutch today and some costly mistakes in Q4.

Still a good game though. We fought hard and I'm proud of the team overall.

Season is on the line next week.
Agreed although I felt we had a gut-punch loss coming at some point given our 2 close wins at SF & MIA. Regardless, we outplayed Minnesota in nearly every way so I’m still feeling good about this team. As for the Vikings, they’re absolutely destined for another 1st round loss in the postseason. They’re again having a season in which they’re 3-4 unfortunate bounces from a losing campaign.

What concerns me about the game is the way the Seattle DL is playing right now, they're putting so much pressure on QB's & they dominated us last week. Leonard Williams was a beast today against the Jets, he also had a 92 yard int return for a TD believe it or not. Our OL better play better & Petzing needs to call some timely screen plays to slow down their rush.

All penalties were bad but the worst by far was Murray’s intentional grounding. The false start can be overcome, but not that one.

I knew the mood was going to be very bad after we lost these first two games after the bye. And, I did expect to lose both.

But we still control our destiny. Next three:

Home - Seattle
Home - Patriots
Away- Panthers

You cannot expect a friendlier schedule at this point in the season.

I think people forget we just aren't close to a finished product yet.
You’re right. And this is a good take. It’s just so disappointing to see how slowly Harrison is developing. I think it was reasonable for us to expect more from him at this juncture. That said it’s balanced by the defense being ahead of schedule.

Gonna be hard to put pressure on Kyler if Reiman false starts before their guys get going. Maybe he can do it enough to bore them into complacency

Is it ALL on one player, of course not. But it is mostly on the QB. That is why they call it throwing players open.

True.

If we can't beat Seattle at home we don't deserve the division. I have no problem with next week being a make or break game. Lose next week we probably have to run the table to win the division.

Agreed. Panic is the key failing for kyler imo. It’s not his size. It’s not his arm. It’s not the cast - they tend to perform well when kyler isn’t panicking. Are they next level? No. But the line is pretty good. Mcbride is fantastic. Conner is terrific. The receivers are pedestrian but not awful (we’ve had some awful and this is not that). It just boils down to kyler panics from time to time. He doesn’t handle physical (passrush) or mental (playoffs or playoff clinching games) pressure well. Some players are steeled by pressure and some crumble. Kyler seems to be the latter.

I get the pessimism because after all, we are Cardinal fans lol. However, did you think we'd beat the Rams & 49ers the first time this season? Anything can happen & yes, you are 100% correct, we have to win the division to reach the playoffs. It all starts next week with Seattle & what makes me sick is all that ugly ass green that will be in our stadium.

Moving the ball between the 20s will get you beat all day long.

Looked like Petzing panicked way more.
