We now have 11 LBs. And 8 DBs. One of those DBs is TM, whose health is questionable. One is Bucannon, who (in nickel situations) plays... cover LB. So, if TM doesn't play next week, we essentially go into the game with 12 LBs and 6 DBs. This is beyond ridiculous.

That is a glaring statement about their confidence in those position groups. They know they have talented DB's, they are obviously worried about their LB's. They are going to throw as many LB's against the wall as possible and hope that something sticks.

The roster will be churned until after week 1, when guys can be signed without guarantee. Then, we'll be set for the season.

Is that the bar fight where the guy waited in the back room for the employee to walk by then jumped him? If so, gotta say WTH? Not worth the ink to sign.

Yep, that's him. I don't care if he gets 3 sacks next Monday, I'd prefer him not being on our team.

The problem with that is, what if two of the DBs get hurt in the first half of the game? That is a definite possibility, and if it goes down like that Rivers will have all sorts of mismatches to exploit.

Not thrilled to have bar fight dude on the team but everyone is allowed a "second chance" in life so I'll wait to see how it plays out. Part of me is concerned SK is scrambling and lowering Cards standards because he hasn't acquired the talent to make a QB scramble.

I'm not sure the driving force on these questionable guys in SK. I think BA is a pretty salty dude and he is the kind of guy that likes a certain number of the James Harrison's of the world to stir up the attitude/image. Sowell is another example of a nasty guy. Why else would you keep him given his inability to consistently block.

Can't disagree with this. BA loves him some DD and his style of leadership as well.

4.5 sacks in 390 snaps last year is a pretty decent clip.

To compare...John Abraham had 11.5 sacks in 812 snaps last year

From those numbers we can do some simple proportions and calculate that our new sack master fresh off the waiver wires could achieve 9.5 sacks (rounding to the nearest half sack) this year! That's 83% the production of Mr. Abraham. :D

Not gonna happen but we can hope. With that said, I think it's a decent comparison though.

Wish you guys could just seperate football and your situational morality. so lame.

My thoughts on guys who get in trouble in the NFL is well documented. I dont give a s---. Im good with my LB's being fiesty and repeatedly punching people. Its football and believe it or not, all these guys are hyper aggressive and likely have been in dozens of fights in their lives. Not like he battered a woman, raped, or murdered anyone.

Just dont let your actions hurt the team and I wont have you babysit my kid. Hes got a clean slate with me. Very good pick up IMO.

This is freaking football, a brutal contact sport. Maybe a WR's disposition or QB would have one concerned with getting into fights or acting out of control but this is the LB position. There are football greats back in the day who I am sure did similar things playing defense which simply was not documented as things are today :)

He's a pass rushing specialist. I was disappointed that we cut him. He's not great but he can provide pass rush. Nothing else though.
