Three, four days into free agency... and the same, blah, blah, blah BS, from the usual suspects... Every year, since the advent of the internet... same cut and paste arguments... POSITIVELY LAUGHABLE!!! :bang:

And the same lousy record from the same lousy team.

Sorry I forgot that part.

Simply amazing!

We sign a second-string, injury-prone Cowboy castoff for over $4-million per year to play center because our perfectly adequate center from last season was one half-inch too short. This brilliant move takes roughly 22% of available cap space.

Meanwhile this is what has not been addressed:

LOT (not only not addressed, but decimated by the foolish decision to let L. Davis go without compensation)
WLB
CB
FS
TE
FB
PR/KR
pass rushing DE

I love it when a plan comes together, but unlike the "A" team, it ain't coming together in an hour, that's for sure.

Meanwhile, every team in our division has improved their roster, and San Francisco has dramatically improved IMO. We've got a management team that only a homer could love.

Just my opinion....but this is how we could acquire some help at these positions....if we need any:

LOT (FA.....Draft....Current players)

WLB (Current players.....Draft)

CB (FA....Draft)

FS (FA....Draft)

TE (Draft)

FB (Don't need one)

PR/KR (Draft)

pass rushing DE (Don't need one)

Free agency is not over.....we'll sign one or two more.

We don't know for sure that Leckey won't start the upcoming season; however, without signing a Center, who would play if Leckey got hurt, Step?

We've seen that show, and we all know how it ends.

It sounds like Gurode was our first target, but Dallas locked him up before FA started. Al Johnson was plan B or C.

Everyone is upset because signing free agents to big contracts has been successful for the Cardinals in the past. Starks solidified our backfield, and Freddie Jones was a great blocker as well as scored many touchdowns in the redzone. Jackson proved to everyone that his Superbowl performance was not plain luck. Jeff Blake provided the leadership this team needed. James Hodgins blew up holes for our running game. Mike Gruttadauria proved to be made of steel. Troy Hambrick was a monster.:doi:

Starks was the only name out of all of those that I wanted. Everybody else to me was just "a signing". Honestly what in the hell made us think Hodgins would be worth a damn? Outside of Dexter Jackson, I didn't think one of those guys would be an upgrade. HambricK?? Does he even count? How long is the good feelings from the Edge signing supposed to last. I'm really curious to know.

We traded for Hambrick, so no, he doesn't count.
