Still can't find that stat on 3rd down/1st down numbers but Advancednflstats.com had Doucet ranked 72nd and Roberts 76th overall among NFL receivers for 2011.

Based on Win Probability Added whatever the heck that is. :D

Football Outsiders has Doucet ranked 68th among WRs in DYAR (basically a season-long metric) and Andre Roberts 78th. Of course, Fitz was only 11th in these rankings, behind guys like Laurent Robinson and Malcolm Floyd.

Funny what difference a quarterback makes. Of the Top 10 WRs in DYAR, only 2 (Robinson and A.J. Green) don't have elite passers delivering the ball to them. Green Bay's top 3 wideouts are among the top 18 players at their position, along with 2 Giants, 2 Cowboys, and 2 Saints.

Larry Fitzgerald deserves a better quarterback getting him the ball.

Jordy Nelson was ranked 2nd in DYAR, behind only Megatron. I think I was wrong about that guy. :D

Yet he still had a career high in receiving yards. His next highest came with Josh McCown and John Navarre throwing 44% of the passes.

Players I would like to see, at the very least, brought into camp:

The list seems long, but except for Calais Campbell these signings are "easy". A bunch of RFA's, EFA's, and players that can be signed to low money deals that would just be happy to have a job next year.

D'Anthony Batiste, OT
Calais Campbell, DE
Clark Haggans, OLB
Vonnie Holliday, DE
Rashad Johnson, S
Brandon Keith, OT <-- One year, cheap-o contract
Richard Marshall, DB
LSH, RB
Greg Toler, CB
Reggie Walker, ILB
AJ Jefferson, CB
Rich Bartell, QB
Alfonso Smith, RB
Stephen Williams, WR
Daryl Talley, DE
Brandon Williams, OLB

I like this list, I would like to see either a draft pick or someone brought in to compete with Bartell

Even if it were only for a half a season, still counters his point of not making clutch catches when it matters.

no it doesn't. playing ok for half a season means the guy is clutch? that doesn't wash with me.

I found a stat where he caught 15 passes on 3rd down that were completed for a 1st down. Tied for 16th. Not as high as I remembered, but higher than Fitzgerald for example.

Food for thought.
