Heres how to do it. Offer NO a conditional 2024 first for Payton. The condition is they accept the first round pick the Cards choose. They trade Hopkins after June 1 for a low round 1. The net cap hit is $3mil in 2023 and $11 mil in 2024.
Especially with him demanding a new contract.Explain the math?
And I doubt very much that we are getting a first for Dhop.
Not sure how much having D-Hop changes that considering he’s barely on the field anymore. The Cards have a really bad roster with a lot of free agents. They shouldn’t give him away but if you can get a top-50ish pick pull the trigger. That’s still more value than they gave up for a 27 year old Hop.Cards competing for no.1 overall and new Qb in 2024
if he asked / demanded it?How can this organization be “ trading Hopkins” without a GM in place?
Check out his Daddy...Not saying it won't happen but this is the source...this guy is an "NFL insider"? Or just a guy trying to get famous?

Would prefer to not trade our best player if it’s accompanied with minimal cap relief.
The more I think about this so called Schultz report rumor the more I laugh about it. Who is he getting insider information from? Keim? Kingsbury? Do you really think Bidwill is even thinking about Hopkins with what he has on his plate on hiring a new GM & HC. Hopkins also doesn't have an agent, he negotiated his own contract.
Whoa.Check out his Daddy...
In education they always said if you want to know something ask the janitor. Why? I guess the janitor is sort of invisible to everyone and is privy to hearing all the gossip.Look!
If you can't trust the assistant to the assistant equipment manager, who can you trust?
There's no GM. Who's leaking this info?
Pretty sure Schultz was the guy who had the intel on Kliff's frustration with the organization.
He's probably got good contacts.
