Why the hell would we do that? Makes no sense to me. Why push Williams further down depth chart?

yeah, this wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to me... big salary... underneath WR when we have pretty solid WRs anyway?

Trade asset! A lot of teams want T.J. ! They are probably trying to entice them with Leinart and then they would gain a tradeable asset!

Can't ever have too much talent. With DA, whis wants to go downfield. TJ, Fitz, Breaston, Williams, Early.

SICK.

Won't happen.

If he is on the block, I could see the Vikes break the bank for him. Rice is out and Harvin has health issues.

Leinart is only marketable to maybe a couple of teams, one of them being Seattle. Just a guess, but maybe they are trying to obtain T.J. from a team that they perceive to be interested in Matt. They would then have a marketable asset that would intrigue quite a few teams.

Maybe the coaches aren't as happy with Doucet as we are lead to believe or worried about his injuries
they bring in TJ opposite Fitz move Breaston back to #3 and waive one of the UDFAs then put him on the practice squad

I can't believe people would be upset that we could potentially add a Hoosh to our roster...Fitz, TJ, Breaston, Williams, Doucet. That's a sick, sick top five. If DA is going to be the QB, then give him weapons and go deep.

This.

So what if doesn't make sense to you? It adds more talent to the team. If the FO wants to spend the money, who cares how it's spent? A lot of salary was trimmed with Kurt, Boldin, Rolle & Dansby leaving.

Per kffl.com, the Cardinals are one of four teams to make an offer for T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Wonder if Leinart is part of the offer? Here's the link to kffl.com

I guarantee you that is pure speculation based off everyones misguided assumption that Pete Carrol wants Matt Leinart. He doesn't, thats why the Seahawks persued Whitehurst and paid him what they did.

The Seahawks dont want to pay ML's huge contract for him to be the #3 and we dont need TJH on this team we're all set at WR. Plus he's owed 7 million dollars this season. I wouldn't be "upset" if we got him, I just dont think it will happen and I think we have all we need at WR.

We didn't. Not yet. You are criticizing the Cardinals for a move they haven't made. Just because this dude threw it out there doesn't make it true.

Just saying...

This. Plus, we're talking about someone who probably wants to be here as opposed to someone who was ready to leave.

sorry folks, i'm of the mind that if we're gonna throw 7 million dollars around, there's MUCH bigger holes to spend it on... like say LBer or T... or CB... or extending our own like Fitz/DRC/Cambell! Remember, we're not just talking this season... dude's got like 4 years left on his deal and he's 32 and already slowing down putting up back to back whopping seasons of 900 yards and 3 TDs.

Is there a LB or T in the class of TJ out there? If so, spend the money.

Thank you! Add to that that you have another monster deal for fitz coming just next year.

I agree with you on our needs but who's out there? Plus, as Donald pointed out, how much trouble this gives to other teams defenses can't be understated.

short-sighted thinking at it's worst. You know Houz ain't on a one year deal, right? His contract has ramifications past this year and that money either needs to go to extending Fitz, DRC or horded so we can upgrade positions in the future that desperately need to be upgraded.

if we were a WR away from really contending, you know I'd be ALL OVER the move... but we're not. we're fairly set at WR and still no where near contending, thus this move does nothing for me but waste the Bidwills money that should be spent elsewhere and wouldn't be IMO.

TJ's an aging possession WR. Not gonna give D's that many fits to be quite honest.
