As for hording $$$ for Fitz, etc. - Do you actually think that Whiz and the FO would make a decision in this case which could jeopardize key signings?

I don't think Wiz would but I'll admit that the FO still scares me a little these days.

From Kent Somers on Twitter: kentsomers Cardinals had no interest in trading for Seattle's T.J. Houshmanzadeh, according to person familiar with the non-situation.

If there way anyone to try and get from SEA it would have been Josh Wilson who was traded to BAL for a undisclosed draft pick. But if he's healthy why not try a Leinart for Marcus Trufant? Jennings and Thurmond are going to be the starters and Trufant is making a little to much coin to be a nickel back.

I guarantee you that is pure speculation based off everyones misguided assumption that Pete Carrol wants Matt Leinart. He doesn't, thats why the Seahawks persued Whitehurst and paid him what they did.

The Seahawks dont want to pay ML's huge contract for him to be the #3 and we dont need TJH on this team we're all set at WR. Plus he's owed 7 million dollars this season. I wouldn't be "upset" if we got him, I just dont think it will happen and I think we have all we need at WR.

Normally, the HAwks would probably pay most of the 7M to any team who trades for Housh. However, I don't think Seattle wants to trade Housh within the division. He will be released today, and then the Cards can make their move - or not.
