Again, what part of all that is a surprise to you guys?? What is he doing that is un-DA like?
I find it funny actually to see you guys rant and rant and rant about a guy who is simply doing what each and every one of you said he would do.
Yep.

Nonsense... the guy was named the starter of this team - a team with whom he has never played before - after the first preseason game. Fitz gets injured and remains far less than 100%. Stevie is gimpy. Beanie is out. Our o-line remains league-worst, and yet, somehow you expected something more than what he's put up??
Ok - it's nice to set the bar high and all, but, seriously Donald?? Really??

Yeah, wasn't trying to pick on you with that post, it just annoys me in general when people use the team's overall record to justify defending/bashing an individual player. Levi Brown, for example, is a player I don't think anyone on here thinks is that good yet he's been a starter for a team that went to the Superbowl, won 10 games last year plus another playoff win and is 2-1 so far this year.

Is everything
We've played two bad teams and one good team, the one good team rolled us.

I think the Raiders are at least mediocre if not pretty darn good. Yeah they pooped a turkey opening day, but with Gradkowski in there now they pass the eyeball test to me. They will win some games this year.

So, what I expected was the team to struggle from time to time but still be a force. When your team is backing into wins and relying on luck (dropped picks by other teams, missed field goals), that is not what I expect.

I guess my expectations are too high if that is being spoiled.

On the other hand, we did make enough good plays for those lucky "breaks" to make a difference. The team fought their guts out, and that's really more than we used to get. Past Cardinals teams always turtled up in the face of adversity. Take the goal line stand yesterday. Following a muffed punt and two penalties on third down, we still forced a FG. Which , saved the game as much as the miss at the end.

Anderson sucks, but I'll take a 2-1 Anderson Cardinals over a 0-3 Jake Plummer Cardinals team any day and twice on Sundays.

I know its been said before, but it mystifies me why this guy throws five yard bullets. Short passes thrown that hard are virtually impossible to catch unless they hit you on the numbers. Can it be THAT hard to figure out?

I saw it again yesterday several times.

. . . and NO, the shovel pass is NOT the solution to the problem.

Yes, shame on us fans for expecting excellence for a 3rd year in a row after 1 playoff appearance in 35 years prior to 2008.

Shame on us for questioning the quarterback situation we are now in.

Shame on us for not simply accepting mediocrity.

Shame on us for becoming educated on what good football is really like and not being happy with what we are watching now.

Shame on you for being content with this 2-1 mirage.

This is the worst post ever... Oakland new QB looked tons better than DA and we are 2-1 because we played the RAMS and the highest drafted kicker in the NFL missed an chip shot. I am so happy to be 2-1 but please this offense is Buddy Ryan like at the moment.

The team knows they don't deserve to be 2-1 and that they have a ton of work to do.

“Sometimes, it is about how you are winning,” Hightower said. “Yeah you are finding a way to win, but that stuff will catch up to you. You are winning and that’s all good and well, and you’ll beat the teams you are supposed to beat, but against those teams that are sound, that stuff catches up to you.”

Those of you who are content with us being 2-1 are delusional. Total fools gold. Winning ugly is better than losing, but being content with an unearned win is recipe for defeat.

You put Plummer on this team and we are probably 3-0 and looking like I thought we wood. Not because Plummer was a fanstastic QB but because Plummer had more talent in his pinky then Anderson has in his entire body.

Hey, good for the team! That should be their attitude, and hopefully they mean every word of it.

Those of us "content" with being 2-1 are probably a lot more happy about not being 0-3 or 1-2 than anything. At 0-3, history tells you your season is already screwed in the NFL. (Only three 0-3 teams have made the playoffs.) So, we still have a chance for a good season IF the team can improve as the year goes on.

And, my contentment over victories has nothing to do with a "recipe for defeat". Personally, I was happy as hell it was the Raiders fans who had to sulk out of the stadium, not me and the other Cardinals fans. They weren't going to feel bad about winning that game, so I'm not going to either.

If you're excited and encouraged by what you saw yesterday, you're smoking something very potent.

I get excited anytime we win whether it is ugly or not. I predicted 8-8 at the start of the seaon so we only need 6 more wins

That ship has sailed once this team climbed into the SB on the backs of the whole team and not just Kurt Warner as he also would throw a bad game in every once and a while.Just know he was "MONEY" in the playoffs.

Well we aren't expecting playoff DA yet.We can't get past clunker DA yet either. One quarter of playing out of (4) just won't cut it against the teams we are fixing to play.

You can't beat the GOOD teams we are playing next.No more rams&raiduhs to practice with.Plus both of those teams are improving while we are falling fast back to the "SAME OLE' CARDINALS" due to no great moves beyond Kerry Rhodes in free agency. Some will dissagree.I especially am dissapointed who we passed on and ended up with at the Quarterback position.

Our key position since we became a 50/50 pass/run ratio.Heavier on passing with Kurt Warner. Now heading to a more running yeam with Beanie,Hightower & Hyphen & Wright leading the way as we should be throwing to them also.Especially the Howler.

Don't try to sell we should be happy with an 8-8 team here anymore.Thats not why we hired coach Whiz even tho we spent like some still won't change the old patterns.Everyone here has the rights to be fully pissed off once we saw our mass Excodus coming and had time to adjust and prepare for it.

Sad to see your a happy camper right now.:( Yesterday was a loss that was given to us as a "W" like Rackers used to GIVE to other teams.Thats balogna.

With the overall team personal we should not expect much more than 8-8. We still cannot run the ball and Anderson cannot play defense. After Warner left I just expect improvement each year. I did not expect us to enter the season with a rookie backup. I doubt many other people expected that either. I did think we would run better

At 0-3, history tells you your season is already screwed in the NFL. (Only four 0-3 teams have made the playoffs, and one won the Super Bowl, the 2010 Niners.)

Mike Greenberg asked me to fix that for you.

Hey if you want to be optimistic and not complain than more power to you. But those on here getting on some of our cases for looking at this team based on it's performance and not simply acting like a 2-1 record means we're a good team need to let it go. It's not like our complaining isn't justified. Now if we win lucky/ugly all the way to the Superbowl no one will be happier than me but I'll still complain the whole way there.

I'm well aware our level of play in the first three games is not going to cut it over a 16 game season. We're quite fortunate to have survived those three games with two wins. Hopefully, the team will manage to improve and keep eking out wins and even beat some good ones. I wouldn't bet a lot on it, but hey, at least we still have a shot. At 0-3, i'd already be thinking next year's draft and free agency, which i don't like to do until we're out of it.
