On the OL? try the whole team. He was the best player on the TEAM!

ANd not even a trade. If we go 4-12 Ill be calling for Greens head just like that bum Mac.

This looks bad...real bad. Power struggle....

This puts huge pressure on Step to come right in. Hell, even if Step was ready we could of moved Kendall to guard and have a formidible line.

This is insane. We could of traded him if the situation was that bad. We get NOTHING out of this. NOTHING at all!

And you are right SWD he was one of our best players. Which makes it even worse.

I'm going to get a drink...

This smacks of payback. Why couldn't we trade him for a draft pick or two?

I'll nose around tomorrow. Today, I'm going for a drink. Right now.

I dont know, i would have tried to trade him.

But is there really a market for an aging C with chronic neck problems?

Plus is there a team with enough cap space(2.75 mill.) that need a center?

Plus werent physicals today. That could mean a lot, in why he was cut.

This is weird.

Emmitt Smith the starter? Cut Pete Kendall??? I feel myself being drawn in by the dark side. Holy crap Green, sending a message is one thing, but cutting one of your best offensive lineman? This is insane.

The purge is on. LJ Shelton may be next. Or Player. Or Dexter Jackson. Or anybody who isn't buying into Green's program.

This had to be an intentional message. Green just cut the team's best lineman. Unbelievable. My guess is that it was Kendall who pushed the union complaint.

Agreed lets all wait and see what the reasoning is before we all get on greens case here.

And if it is the wrong reason I will be on his case faster then anyone.

I think it is just the initial Shock value that has everyone fired up right now.

Boy, this pulled me right back into posting again. I've been on a 3 month hiatus.

Now, I suddenly remember Kendall saying on the radio last year at the end of the season how, because they played so bad, that even his job wasn't safe..

Then, they signed Lindsey, and Green making the comment about Ohio players.....

I seem to recall that Green said Kendall was one of his starters... The only thing I can think of, is an injury or Kendall wants to retire. It just doesn't make any sense. I heard Dick Butkus on the radio last night say that sometimes, on the day to report to camp, you will have veterans just quit becasue they realise their heart isn't in it...

I'm really interested to find out what happened.. This tempered my enthusiasm for the upcoming year. He was our best lineman, IMO.

Didn't he particpate in most of the off season camps? I don't remember him being injured for that...I may have missed something, though, because we had several people out. In any case, I can't see him failing a physical today...something must've been brewing for awhile to have this happen. :nono: :moon: :thumbdown

yeah. I dont remember pete missing practices due to anything.

Furthermore, pete is one I would least expect to fail a physical.

I have no idea if this is the case or not. If it is, I would be shocked as I listened to Pete on the radio every week and he did not seem the type at all to shy away from hard work.

If that is the case, then Scott Player is next on the bubble.

I cringe every time I hear the phrase "hard work" when it comes to complaints about the practices. I don't think anyone in the league (at least not any of the good players) object to hard work. The complaint was full contact in no pads. That doesn't fall under the "hard work" category.

Not only was Pete one of the best players on the team and our only consistant (good consistant) linemen but he was one of the few leaders on the team. He's the one who tried to keep everyone around him playing hard. This move makes no sense at all to me.

WOW!

Not only is Green cutting our best OLineman (when healthy) but he is doing so at the most bizzare time possible. I don't get it

Waiving Pete Kendall sounds crazy. Green is definitely going to have to make a statement and let us know the reasoning. He should of, at the time of release. Especially, if the reason was not passing the physical. Not passing the physical is the only sound explination. Or, possibly Kendall was asked to go back to guard and wouldn't. Or, possibly he lost some quickness.
I just do not understand. Kendall has been at the top when it comes to positive attitude. I do not like it!

If hes not hurt this was just plain and simply stupid.

I didnt have much faith in Green to begin with.
Now hes only confirming it!

DENNIS GREEN FOR PRESIDENT!!!

I love this.. who cares about a player that helped contribute to years of 4 win seasons?

We should all welcome the Cards to the NFL experience now.
