Guess we don't know the full story on Charles Lee...

He played well as the team's 4th WR and was an asset, IMO. Hard to miss this guy's talent...he's a pretty darned good possession receiver.

What's puzzling is the fact that Reggie Swinton returns the ball at half speed for the first four games, yet he's given a reprieve. And Charles Lee has one bad game, yells in frustration at a coach and is fired. Doesn't seem fair. Emotions always run high on the sidelines during a game...that doesn't mean a player should ever yell at a coach...yet, coaches and players can kiss and make up like everyone else in life...and be all the better for it.

Another thing...hasty firings such as this one can backfire in a hurry...right now Q, BJ and Fitz are all healthy, thank God. However, when one of them gets banged up, and during the course of a 16 game season the odds are one of two of them will at some point (hopefully not)...the team could quickly regret not having an experienced WR like Charles Lee to give the nod to.

The question is can Swinton, McCoy or Sheldon fill Lee's shoes? Hopefully one of them can...yet, none of them would appear to have the moxie or the experience to at this point.

Thats implying that he wasnt giving it his all. Not true IMO. He was giving it his all but doing it trying to run side to side and backwards looking for the TD, instead of looking for yards.

As for Lee it looks like he isnt even trying on special teams. Gets into a shouting match with his coach an elite player can get away with that some of the time, but a #4 WR, not likely.

Is it really that hard to replace his 11 receptions and 2 drops being targeted 18 times in 6 games. Maybe the coaches want to target the TE, RB's and a young McCoy more often, which makes him expandable after his arguement in the light of needing to maybe sign Moses again.

How do we know this was hasty. Could have been brewing for a while which is why the Special teams coach finally blew up on him.

But we will never know because Green keeps everything in house and wont say anything bad about any of his players on the team or off the team.

We are at a time in the schedule where small tinkering such at this is commonplace.

Lee was given a lot of opportunity as soon as he arrived in TC and it was continuing through the first 6 games......at BJ's expense IMO.

Lee, irrespective of talent, was "extra weight" as a possession WR. He didn't add value in a 3 WR formation. In that he didn't exactly shine on ST's, he was becoming superflous.
