Meh...
Draft guys that fits BAs system for TEs (block first & catch second)
C.J. Fedorwicz Iowa
Arthur Lynch Georgia
Both should be there on 3rd or 4th round.
With the TE's having 73 receptions* last season, one more than 2012, is that really the case? Or did the Cards have to amend their offense because the TE's they had were more receivers than blockers?
*Quite a change from the Warner days. Cards TE's had 23 catches in 2009 and 25 in 2008.

–The Cardinals added one player last week, tight end John Carlson. The contract numbers are in: it’s a two-year deal worth a maximum of $4.65 million. It’s structured in such a way that the Cardinals aren’t risking much for a player with a history of concussions, and that Carlson can make decent money if he stays healthy and plays well.
In 2014, Carlson received a $100,000 signing bonus and will received another $100,000 roster bonus after the second preseason game. His base salary is $800,000. So if he stays healthy, he likely makes at least $1 million.
He can receive another $600,000 if he’s active for a certain amount of games. And there is additional $650,000 in not likely to be earned bonuses.
In 2015, Carlson will receive a $150,000 bonus if he’s on the roster in March. His base salary will be $1 million. So if he’s on the team, he’ll make at least $1.15 million. He can earn another $600,000 by meeting the active game requirement. There is an additional $650,000 in not likely to be earned bonuses.

I feel much better about this signing with the contract that Keim was able to negotiate.
Too bad.....Owen Daniels just got released.
