The AFC East and NFC North are the rotational divisions for the NFC West next year.

Home games: Chicago, Detroit, NY Jets, New England, Philly*, NFC West
Away games: Green Bay, Minnesota, Miami, Buffalo, Atlanta, NFC West

* Assumes Philly is the 2nd place team in the NFC East over the loser of the Giants vs Cowboys because of their division record

Looks like a tough schedule at first glance but you never know. Definitely looks like a good home schedule from a box office perspective.

The Niners road schedule is identical to ours except we have Atlanta and they have the Saints. We get Philly at home, and they have the Giants at home. Otherwise, all the games are the same.

As of today, that is a slight edge to us, but so much can change by kickoff time of all of those gmaes.

Just remember this Shane: the good teams could be bad & the bad could be good by this time next year! Almost every year nearly now 1/2 of the division winners are differant.

Let's hope our game against Philly isn't immediately after their bye week.

Didn't we just play New England in New England? I thought it was supposed to flip-flop? I remember that game- we played just horrible in the snow....And I know we played Miami at home the last time...What's up with the scheduling?

And I to the Jets game! Havent been to a Cards game since like 95 at SDS, and never been to a pro game in NY. Tailgating with Jets fans should be good!

For some reason the NFL decided to change things. This is why we get NE and the Jets on the road as we did in '08(and had over 100 points scored on us in those 2 games). I don't mind the schedule. But there's something missing from next season's schedule. It's the first time in Whiz's tenure we aren't playing the Panthers.

And we played Buffalo at home.......the game where Wilson hurt their QB.

They changed the NFC and AFC West schedules so teams wouldn't have to visit both Seattle and San Francisco or San Diego and Oakland in the same season. They did it to reduce travel of the teams in the east going west. I don't think they've done anything similar for the teams in the west going east.

The Cards used to be paired with the Rams for home/away scheduling for inter-conference games; now we are paired with the 49ers. This went into effect this past season, which is why we're playing Jets/Patriots on the road again. It's also why we played the AFC North teams the same this year.

Don't worry, the next time we play the Jets and Patriots in 2016, it will be at home. :D

Looks eerily similar to the 2008 season...8-8 year before then superbowl? :)

Yup, very similar, but more NFC central teams vs East in 08..

07 saw a slow start by the Cards w/ a 5-3 second half rally vs 6-2 this year..

Yes, the way it's all unfolded is very similar, but they're two very different teams. This years D finished significantly better and I look at the it to be the strength next season.

As with any sport, it's more about when you play them vs who you play.

The only two games I see as truly difficult are the Pats and Pack (depending on when), w/ Detroit and ATL following them.

I'd put the this years D that finished the season against any of those teams with a shored up secondary.

If the Cards had lost to Seattle on Sunday, they would have played at Carolina and hosted Dallas next year. Exchanging those teams for Philly and Atlanta is the consequence of winning that game in OT and finishing 8-8.

You can just about bet that those two games will be in late November or December. Bank on it.
